<br />
It's hot here in Southern California!<br />
Some days it's so hot, that you feel like doing nothing. I made a couple of little crafts with Brenda, and lots of cleaning and organizing.<br />
We did some summer activities, like movies and things like that. Still about a month until school starts.<br />
This week I managed to do a little sewing, and finished this table runner .<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgjPOAdO95PtxokrnL2K8YUFfF8wyBD-1STlgLR6PnEsnB85L78LUkFzXIfzKneVy5spFTVToCSn5wCUvUnjMLVxH0_rAuhZvP-heRt0IfNkWaQ_rv-Xs8rO_829wPMiR8RO2zQNYpzb3am/s1600/IMG_7770.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="480" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgjPOAdO95PtxokrnL2K8YUFfF8wyBD-1STlgLR6PnEsnB85L78LUkFzXIfzKneVy5spFTVToCSn5wCUvUnjMLVxH0_rAuhZvP-heRt0IfNkWaQ_rv-Xs8rO_829wPMiR8RO2zQNYpzb3am/s640/IMG_7770.JPG" width="640" /></a></div>
<br />
I used only scraps and fabrics from my stash. I am really trying to use the fabrics and craft supplies I have at home.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiSYVU86g7KlXTsaSR6CYdqLS-sxYWCzm-pC7KYLwM2pm6OXDwZrDpb4mJpGz2EQZJR1DbEBU3ZOZWUAsv3zExz_M363N_g1jrUS1T_8IWYf7ksvdesJK8kZsS9h6aehysQ_Bub754HmOgG/s1600/IMG_7773.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="480" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiSYVU86g7KlXTsaSR6CYdqLS-sxYWCzm-pC7KYLwM2pm6OXDwZrDpb4mJpGz2EQZJR1DbEBU3ZOZWUAsv3zExz_M363N_g1jrUS1T_8IWYf7ksvdesJK8kZsS9h6aehysQ_Bub754HmOgG/s640/IMG_7773.JPG" width="640" /></a></div>
<br />
I got the inspiration from <a href="http://www.allpeoplequilt.com/quilt-patterns/table-runners/strippy-and-bright-table-runner">here.</a><br />
My blocks are smaller, the runner was made to fit my sideboard.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjCNvBVJt2tMsEeRZpSFdRIP7bApwvyC-d6C1wJtwTlg2cj_qJJNCffZp3EXKDZuW8lNeTyGtIzsCbg9qpV9Mgl3VdQCjwYTdloalKD64f05dv27lJ6pPyEeRc-smIFN-6Zu8YKPr3Ypaa3/s1600/IMG_7779.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="480" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjCNvBVJt2tMsEeRZpSFdRIP7bApwvyC-d6C1wJtwTlg2cj_qJJNCffZp3EXKDZuW8lNeTyGtIzsCbg9qpV9Mgl3VdQCjwYTdloalKD64f05dv27lJ6pPyEeRc-smIFN-6Zu8YKPr3Ypaa3/s640/IMG_7779.JPG" width="640" /></a></div>
<br />
I think I need to do some more quilting, and them machine wash and dry.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhFcBUyD0UgUuN4QKzMsPVA4C9QFiEjAsvGGSujx8Gpi7Y2hbgSf2kteMPWiKa__taDbnYhcvgMe7s9PUX6gZOSoIokYzVFdn97nIrIc_M-ldmyAazenX2-KCOFan_Ue1YfKK8yMRV4ZQsA/s1600/IMG_7777.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="480" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhFcBUyD0UgUuN4QKzMsPVA4C9QFiEjAsvGGSujx8Gpi7Y2hbgSf2kteMPWiKa__taDbnYhcvgMe7s9PUX6gZOSoIokYzVFdn97nIrIc_M-ldmyAazenX2-KCOFan_Ue1YfKK8yMRV4ZQsA/s640/IMG_7777.JPG" width="640" /></a></div>
<br />
I used about twelve different prints in green and red. None of the six blocks have the same combination of prints. I always have a hard time piecing. Somehow, I always do a little bit of mess up. These blocks were fun to make, but they are not perfect. I enjoyed very much making this table runner. I love the colors and the pattern.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjf8aDO7M_fikdBg9BQORTsCs3b1BNSybsw5vE0f3iUXrJqaQncOFuAlumJqlPF2abKe9Wpefmx3-uIMBJrWeAG4NiyYHfIkUTLXzu5iAhcC4Wx7bQVDI93kN-kclBzxEWJPeGmw0m6VKa9/s1600/IMG_7775.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="480" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjf8aDO7M_fikdBg9BQORTsCs3b1BNSybsw5vE0f3iUXrJqaQncOFuAlumJqlPF2abKe9Wpefmx3-uIMBJrWeAG4NiyYHfIkUTLXzu5iAhcC4Wx7bQVDI93kN-kclBzxEWJPeGmw0m6VKa9/s640/IMG_7775.JPG" width="640" /></a></div>
<br />
I specially love the candy cane binding. It adds a nice finishing touch.<br />
It took a long time for me to decide to make a Christmas table runner. I could not make up my mind on the pattern to use. Now, I just need to make a Valentine one to complete my small collection.<br />
Have a great weekend and stay cool!<br />

Just stopping by to share a little craft I made this week.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiyorKzThcr3Sdfg3KZOj61tMic_d1AUaf1sS98dISeBWHdM0K9JNzEKhbTJHM7VX8ler7oOKJ-BICn1RdyckFGKUFQs7hP1CQap-RFZAMHjXnRIWwLw-dvN3aglgVtxLONwvNDF4uU1p0P/s1600/IMG_7492.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="640" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiyorKzThcr3Sdfg3KZOj61tMic_d1AUaf1sS98dISeBWHdM0K9JNzEKhbTJHM7VX8ler7oOKJ-BICn1RdyckFGKUFQs7hP1CQap-RFZAMHjXnRIWwLw-dvN3aglgVtxLONwvNDF4uU1p0P/s640/IMG_7492.JPG" width="480" /></a></div>
<br />
I wanted to make this flag since when I first saw one last year. There are lots on Pinterest and I just had to make one this year. I found some red and white fabric scraps,left over ribbon, lace, ric-rac, bias tape, a scrap of denim, and other trims that were perfect for the project. Also, some white buttons and a dowel.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgUWikjbfFctZPbda6dImMFifEvqs5upYq2UqUdU93gAXipTYsUfEAQcFxQqv6RheJ15ln7p3Ls1kTvEAAXFyrzhg0P-oQywVl3UxaHBoBXhNZISjE56tB2HiMV-_V7vkHoL6Yo5njehKoh/s1600/IMG_7557.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="640" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgUWikjbfFctZPbda6dImMFifEvqs5upYq2UqUdU93gAXipTYsUfEAQcFxQqv6RheJ15ln7p3Ls1kTvEAAXFyrzhg0P-oQywVl3UxaHBoBXhNZISjE56tB2HiMV-_V7vkHoL6Yo5njehKoh/s640/IMG_7557.JPG" width="480" /></a></div>
<br />
The flag is now hanging above the crates filled with cookbooks in my eating area.<br />
I love my new flag, I am happy that I made it. A great way to use scraps of fabric and all those left over ribbons and trims we all collect.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEje8TBlzeJd4OWsZUIj-PeQy6czf6bwCLmFqIDNrHuSdT3Hu5-KWgXXImMHLZGPgVZeUXg6i2W2zRbcWARp423bpjR28TN7ZNyQ-UsIJxkXiaH0LVmdqaJUritYVWNQlCPs1FK4d16AwCZr/s1600/IMG_7550.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="480" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEje8TBlzeJd4OWsZUIj-PeQy6czf6bwCLmFqIDNrHuSdT3Hu5-KWgXXImMHLZGPgVZeUXg6i2W2zRbcWARp423bpjR28TN7ZNyQ-UsIJxkXiaH0LVmdqaJUritYVWNQlCPs1FK4d16AwCZr/s640/IMG_7550.JPG" width="640" /></a></div>
<br />
I think it complements nicely my other patriotic items. Hopefully I will be able to make a couple more patriotic crafts this year.<br />
Thanks for taking the time to read my blog!<br />

<br />
Things are busy around here. I meant to post more often, but life gets on the way, and the housework also needs to be done.<br />
With the end of school year approaching, we have lots going on. Tons of activities, volunteering, you name it!<br />
Anyways, I made some clothespin dolls a couple of weeks ago.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

<br />
And here is an Irish girl. They are all living in the cubby shelf, but they like to pose for pictures at the fairy garden.<br />
<br />
Not much crafting going on, really. <br />
I am sewing some gifts for Brenda's birthday and other small items.<br />

<br />
A while ago I made some tissue holders for me, Brenda and friends.<br />
I started a new cross stitch project, but it will be a slow one. I just got new eye glasses, that will help. Also, I had to take my sewing machine to the be serviced. It does not like denim :)<br />
That's all for now!<br />
Have a good rest of the week and thanks for stopping by!<br />

<br />
Today I took a break from the sewing and finished a cross stitch project that took me a while to make: A Christmas house!<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhDUX1gBV_Ehr4GCYcqN_UluuMaihnNP6pEV6s_ghZ9k4-kTRY3K4ienx2ymPYtJ5xU4Dyg0DKDU552XGD70xKc2w5qVFM6yqiebe1PBt2CtrBUeXKQ_QhtItz0NOoHi0OWxSR0WIxoEwqA/s1600/IMG_7086.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="640" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhDUX1gBV_Ehr4GCYcqN_UluuMaihnNP6pEV6s_ghZ9k4-kTRY3K4ienx2ymPYtJ5xU4Dyg0DKDU552XGD70xKc2w5qVFM6yqiebe1PBt2CtrBUeXKQ_QhtItz0NOoHi0OWxSR0WIxoEwqA/s640/IMG_7086.JPG" width="480" /></a></div>
<br />
The patterns are by Perrette Samouiloff.<br />
It was fun to stitch, and not very hard, really. The hard part was to choose the designs, and to count the stitches to make sure they would fit. I had to find some small designs to fill the empty spots. I think that was the most difficult part. But I love how it looks!<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhBZApr1nn4IObnTemJgXQ8mN5uUAMpMrP_S22kuvb8YLlpiM347y0jAhxX7SkmlPrDbEkfLGcE1j1PfijoLen1JaZ9K2J7BZGaxzo_Pd2DCXh6CQ3eDsd8U-5JM_keXAXT5eJjEGmqIBfM/s1600/IMG_7090.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="480" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhBZApr1nn4IObnTemJgXQ8mN5uUAMpMrP_S22kuvb8YLlpiM347y0jAhxX7SkmlPrDbEkfLGcE1j1PfijoLen1JaZ9K2J7BZGaxzo_Pd2DCXh6CQ3eDsd8U-5JM_keXAXT5eJjEGmqIBfM/s640/IMG_7090.JPG" width="640" /></a></div>
<br />
The attic is full of secrets. They are hiding the presents. I added more presents and the teddy in a box to balance things a bit.<br />

<br />
Now, the middle part of the house.<br />
This little boy holding the hearts is adorable! I stitched some ornaments to fill the spaces.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiIQjsHNl7oppwu5pD_jWhGda7DdP7QT0X9rzskfS8xUYren9KSA6HXwY_tKaZkhkL2qkn6WI4YkaIx0ESoawCFFy7mfUcxN6g-97AaiTSoPlpv6CTzCkdubyIAgOCtGnCuyTpJMqfhkzyb/s1600/IMG_7091.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="480" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiIQjsHNl7oppwu5pD_jWhGda7DdP7QT0X9rzskfS8xUYren9KSA6HXwY_tKaZkhkL2qkn6WI4YkaIx0ESoawCFFy7mfUcxN6g-97AaiTSoPlpv6CTzCkdubyIAgOCtGnCuyTpJMqfhkzyb/s640/IMG_7091.JPG" width="640" /></a></div>
<br />
The little girls. They are so cute! The one holding the teddy bear is my favorite. Here I added the cat, the presents, and the ornaments.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhBX-jMIYaGTxIKTCTMuRDaeX6zP1ApElQMytL9vSC8kjJTRAIogi-zmBqiYshDFp45p7XBV9DC6tCxkamQRoK3VRTzRQH3qQE-x1pf7CKhmXAmqdPc_95P5Faj_hWPN-UES2W6HflcN-Op/s1600/IMG_7093.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="480" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhBX-jMIYaGTxIKTCTMuRDaeX6zP1ApElQMytL9vSC8kjJTRAIogi-zmBqiYshDFp45p7XBV9DC6tCxkamQRoK3VRTzRQH3qQE-x1pf7CKhmXAmqdPc_95P5Faj_hWPN-UES2W6HflcN-Op/s640/IMG_7093.JPG" width="640" /></a></div>
<br />
The living room. I just had to add some more presents to fill the spaces and join the two designs together. That's the fun thing with Perrette's patterns. There are several small designs in one pattern. You stitch all or as many as you want.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEg1OXz3kgoPUyukG0DZLsn6I-aBCNBxMAUUEFCjTCxvfyUmuW6iaJnDhAebR_MAi-H-HHA7WBCmLRIOi8rxrd7DRbeCoo5At5DrrR9rbRqGRlFoj2nGASByjW9vKpk8cBfv3ZHvVrGsNYnP/s1600/IMG_7098.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="640" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEg1OXz3kgoPUyukG0DZLsn6I-aBCNBxMAUUEFCjTCxvfyUmuW6iaJnDhAebR_MAi-H-HHA7WBCmLRIOi8rxrd7DRbeCoo5At5DrrR9rbRqGRlFoj2nGASByjW9vKpk8cBfv3ZHvVrGsNYnP/s640/IMG_7098.JPG" width="480" /></a></div>
<br />
<br />
I had this frame for a long time. It's from a kit by Bucilla. I decided not to stitch the kit, and stitch these little kids instead. I painted the frame red, and made several changes to make things more colorful. The original colors were a bit too dark for my taste.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEh-T5bDnssfYbdAwW9AZbDPU9pPSpHGfGs3jAvyP9bGDfjaa837rgTB61HT863LlhaTRPY5Jx0HRz313CH84uJvZoViYzCXL-9SXPOjavQK3S7Pkc6GHajasZFrVDabQXMG4DRRu4opH5qb/s1600/IMG_7089.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="640" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEh-T5bDnssfYbdAwW9AZbDPU9pPSpHGfGs3jAvyP9bGDfjaa837rgTB61HT863LlhaTRPY5Jx0HRz313CH84uJvZoViYzCXL-9SXPOjavQK3S7Pkc6GHajasZFrVDabQXMG4DRRu4opH5qb/s640/IMG_7089.JPG" width="480" /></a></div>
<br />
I glued a piece of red felt on the back to make a nice finish. A mini wreath on the top of the house finishes the look.<br />
Brenda helped me picking the colors and designs for this project, and she loves the finished piece! Now, let's put it way until Christmas!<br />

<br />
I am working hard on finishing several sewing projects. Lots more to go!<br />
Here are the two I just finished this week.<br />
First, a denim library bag.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEi586nzt43lH276ZjRSkxqBLlT3FCvE3dr0H24Rb1Ao811MMzh5Xkff3uiH5Viz63VTNqu6SbAvSZanX0TjMArmMxaN9cPj5rV3LX3sY8JvXrdvoWdcMTSUe3kzt8eIjcE3m5zNyc72XOlG/s1600/IMG_7044.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="640" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEi586nzt43lH276ZjRSkxqBLlT3FCvE3dr0H24Rb1Ao811MMzh5Xkff3uiH5Viz63VTNqu6SbAvSZanX0TjMArmMxaN9cPj5rV3LX3sY8JvXrdvoWdcMTSUe3kzt8eIjcE3m5zNyc72XOlG/s640/IMG_7044.JPG" width="480" /></a></div>
<br />
I have a storage container full of denim, mostly Brenda's. We donate a lot of her clothes when she outgrows them, but I still save many. I normally make bermudas of the jeans that get too short on her. So, I had lots of half legs of jeans.<br />
Anyways, I wanted to make a new library bag, the old one was so ugly! I made a pretty one for Brenda last Christmas, so ours was looking even worse.<br />
We are big library people. We go every week for books and movies. Now that Brenda got the Harry Potter bug, she gets anything Harry related.<br />
I saw a nice recycled denim bag on Pinterest. This is my version of it. There was no pattern, I just made up my own.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgkBPFwDPLU4Mj4uMAO0ahUHy6kIP49ul4_RE-4ubajO5wvOEDpuo06-832jrLwaVzvl2MGxOX5G6PQu8UYu2d4FBuJV5r98xY7CUodgFjddOEsqLZgXEoJvk80YwSsh5GUGu6UgTdTtY-b/s1600/IMG_7050.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="640" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgkBPFwDPLU4Mj4uMAO0ahUHy6kIP49ul4_RE-4ubajO5wvOEDpuo06-832jrLwaVzvl2MGxOX5G6PQu8UYu2d4FBuJV5r98xY7CUodgFjddOEsqLZgXEoJvk80YwSsh5GUGu6UgTdTtY-b/s640/IMG_7050.JPG" width="480" /></a></div>
<br />
I had to cut one of my old jeans. No way it was going to fit me anymore.<br />
I used cotton batting and a blue and white floral fabric for lining. I came out very sturdy, and we were able to use it on the same day I made it. Cool!<br />
There will be more bags soon...I need to use all that denim.<br />
My other project is this door stopper.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjzbdap9TDIoLa82DrCi-iIu5Wy2HvTqkHwxYhRRFK_CJxjq2UqlAHe0xw9oSHgWEu7EhwyKmiM1L_uqg2K7HYbO8g_kG5j0ZMn-mZ70_u_Dg1HQjcrwx_5-x-1FM9Q9cpGyrdovFexLTnG/s1600/IMG_7067.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="640" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjzbdap9TDIoLa82DrCi-iIu5Wy2HvTqkHwxYhRRFK_CJxjq2UqlAHe0xw9oSHgWEu7EhwyKmiM1L_uqg2K7HYbO8g_kG5j0ZMn-mZ70_u_Dg1HQjcrwx_5-x-1FM9Q9cpGyrdovFexLTnG/s640/IMG_7067.JPG" width="480" /></a></div>
<br />
It was also made to substitute an old one. I used corduroy and a piece of this patchwork looking fabric. It made it faster, the pattern has a 9 patch block instead. This door stopper has a zipper on the bottom, so you can wash it. I really like this style, I think I will always make this one. If you want make it too, here is the tutorial from <a href="http://larkcrafts.com/needlearts/free-project-friday-the-stash-busting-edition/">Lark Crafts.</a><br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgpxxC1Dy38yRq7D1tZL5tLATLXlvk6TQR1ahTxzGpP8ygYl3T7h1yH2yjypw-nICyo7axj9h_H0sPm-3k7TKCt91Hv22r5oAEHDO01Inb9B9F9T0sKgPt9vp8RPiVlg7BurLx76aHU5MpW/s1600/IMG_7060.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="640" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgpxxC1Dy38yRq7D1tZL5tLATLXlvk6TQR1ahTxzGpP8ygYl3T7h1yH2yjypw-nICyo7axj9h_H0sPm-3k7TKCt91Hv22r5oAEHDO01Inb9B9F9T0sKgPt9vp8RPiVlg7BurLx76aHU5MpW/s640/IMG_7060.JPG" width="480" /></a></div>
<br />
Here is the back. I need a little more dried peas to make it fuller.<br />
That's it for today! Back to the sewing machine.<br />
Have a great day, and thanks for stopping by!<br />
<br />

<br />
I know... funny posting Christmas stockings in April.<br />
I wanted to make them last year, but I got busy, and never made them.<br />
Now, here they are!<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEh8X-2mU7VjDjLwcCvQycbggj63k2aXOlgdgcF31KhRfOEZL3L6DAMWhhcuLzdt0i7I7bywXDxLfNaSV4q4t_18Qe16egxFtM1YnaOTXF8KN3P9K5zGAaQQSFpEdLLH3YQtznAgQobBdP3E/s1600/IMG_7021.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="480" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEh8X-2mU7VjDjLwcCvQycbggj63k2aXOlgdgcF31KhRfOEZL3L6DAMWhhcuLzdt0i7I7bywXDxLfNaSV4q4t_18Qe16egxFtM1YnaOTXF8KN3P9K5zGAaQQSFpEdLLH3YQtznAgQobBdP3E/s640/IMG_7021.JPG" width="640" /></a></div>
<br />
I love the Scandinavian look. The matching stockings had to be red and white.<br />
There are several online tutorials on how to make stockings like these. Here is <a href="http://www.diaryofaquilter.com/2012/11/christmas-stocking-tutorial.html">one I like</a>.<br />
The quilt as you go style is the best. Very fast and easy. It's a no brainier.<br />
The pattern for the stocking shape I got from one of my Holiday crafts magazines. I find it very hard to draw the pattern myself. I love this shape, not the old booty one!<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhNNiPhA-vgQCyBfKBcq_AcJEWH_2Ps87MnM55B-fS9jnDwDRLFg72OCFRfUWpS1J3ZRZv98EO14d2x_7IULPo3N5kfVc1b5S_3luuH9-6pGRuv6Yvb7OU_immaGVUzZZ82apz0M9V6ri2q/s1600/IMG_7025.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="640" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhNNiPhA-vgQCyBfKBcq_AcJEWH_2Ps87MnM55B-fS9jnDwDRLFg72OCFRfUWpS1J3ZRZv98EO14d2x_7IULPo3N5kfVc1b5S_3luuH9-6pGRuv6Yvb7OU_immaGVUzZZ82apz0M9V6ri2q/s640/IMG_7025.JPG" width="480" /></a></div>
<br />
The hard part for me was to attach the cuff. It was very bulky, It took me a while pinning and ripping seams. But I love the way they look! My family finally has matching stockings!<br />
I made a stocking for Brenda when she was little, but never made for me and my husband. We had some old plaid ones for a while, borrowed from my MIL. I returned them so I could have a real reason to make our own. I did it now.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiMUK6_Q8PGfklrynLkcstOfu7P8iLdWPZSCqtEFVbcKaNVvhYpvTI0DaMEsM9KtLXCKpdGJ1vHNvhrWD7Vg7eHw35zcDKKMQNi6wKbpc7Jego6bjR8NqiZhnLsZyRynBnLG8vUjc4KvZTA/s1600/IMG_7027.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="640" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiMUK6_Q8PGfklrynLkcstOfu7P8iLdWPZSCqtEFVbcKaNVvhYpvTI0DaMEsM9KtLXCKpdGJ1vHNvhrWD7Vg7eHw35zcDKKMQNi6wKbpc7Jego6bjR8NqiZhnLsZyRynBnLG8vUjc4KvZTA/s640/IMG_7027.JPG" width="480" /></a></div>
<br />
I like how they are similar but different. I collected red and white fabrics for a while to be able to make some projects, including these stockings. Not easy, Joann's has a small selection. A couple of years ago they had some new ones, and I got some. Besides Joann's, I only have one more fabric store near by. Sometimes I get lucky there. Sometimes on e-bay.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEipZDsESdrxcLUO2OXcPNy2NWccnDQOqBVlQH6vg0bvXQglv7SeZLVtBm1GvaKRGZkL7UpRINUxxdw5Un1TrABZm8rVVfZXKGPBCA37Rf_qjFK7C9IxQGP2a_bUlQnXm8T80wdDEb72xt1c/s1600/IMG_7030.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="640" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEipZDsESdrxcLUO2OXcPNy2NWccnDQOqBVlQH6vg0bvXQglv7SeZLVtBm1GvaKRGZkL7UpRINUxxdw5Un1TrABZm8rVVfZXKGPBCA37Rf_qjFK7C9IxQGP2a_bUlQnXm8T80wdDEb72xt1c/s640/IMG_7030.JPG" width="480" /></a></div>
<br />
This is the fabric I picked for the back of the stockings, a cute peppermint candy print.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjj8JIv8lgoS-t3ITi5BZEVTm-PetEEnA5fPIjJE0qO0aKXDQzWQuxL1_iCGb8bln-H9iEbEJS5RfYbI4CY1f0E-406aE9-BcDRRNhPxTmIgDnyN981yL8PPVqhJbpwqVl3LD3QlkVDQ2pQ/s1600/IMG_7038.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="640" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjj8JIv8lgoS-t3ITi5BZEVTm-PetEEnA5fPIjJE0qO0aKXDQzWQuxL1_iCGb8bln-H9iEbEJS5RfYbI4CY1f0E-406aE9-BcDRRNhPxTmIgDnyN981yL8PPVqhJbpwqVl3LD3QlkVDQ2pQ/s640/IMG_7038.JPG" width="480" /></a></div>
Now I just need to get some wooden letters to personalize them. I like <a href="http://www.uglyducklinghouse.com/diy-christmas-stocking-initials/">this</a> idea.<br />
I am very pleased with our new stockings! It's so nice when a project comes out the way you imagined it!<br />
<br />

<br /></div>
This is Lavender Girl from <a href="http://thesnowflowerdiaries.blogspot.com/2013/07/pattern-lavender-girl.html">Snowflower Diaries</a>.<br />
I made some changes, specially using DMC in lighter colors.<br />

<br />
Hope everybody had a great Easter with family and friends.<br />
I am a little late, but better late than never...<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEg5OBzCh31kNO_i9u8OgVEqtbztcV2y5_hBPtJn9wfhUXT1cdYq-EFJKKkkRJc6OP4nPjfcnEDBE6RUkOVEFO1ULuFuuDd7qkJ6ksIoxJaweHR1-ETQJfjmREHidIwVVMJgIOgrBNGj1eHV/s1600/IMG_6894.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="480" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEg5OBzCh31kNO_i9u8OgVEqtbztcV2y5_hBPtJn9wfhUXT1cdYq-EFJKKkkRJc6OP4nPjfcnEDBE6RUkOVEFO1ULuFuuDd7qkJ6ksIoxJaweHR1-ETQJfjmREHidIwVVMJgIOgrBNGj1eHV/s640/IMG_6894.JPG" width="640" /></a></div>
<br />
I finished this little Lizzie Kate ornament just before Easter. I always wanted to stitch this design and finally got it done!<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjZiG62v8hMAROBD8oiYi3eV969dHhuWLT-MW9_awVfcPbidKteFBtow57u9TRK2hVeShQoKRSmNTvilUVQvDiSDuVK4qITglcpx3tuktujs2S8OQKpq3DiELvCvgGsivFlOLU5Ah2rt1Wr/s1600/IMG_6895.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="640" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjZiG62v8hMAROBD8oiYi3eV969dHhuWLT-MW9_awVfcPbidKteFBtow57u9TRK2hVeShQoKRSmNTvilUVQvDiSDuVK4qITglcpx3tuktujs2S8OQKpq3DiELvCvgGsivFlOLU5Ah2rt1Wr/s640/IMG_6895.JPG" width="480" /></a></div>
<br />
It looks cute with my Easter decor.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEh8vsCWQa40XA5ava4RvBW7eOOic5ASIgNoWKK7xtfsnmabTBNnDTD9gWVohyxdOwe27VM93jx8RN0XIaD1G-zsgLR1X3IGwdbeRhFWfB03noKYcBONjNQzh0bEhWfHE1lNIuvZbhFFxkIh/s1600/IMG_6898.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="480" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEh8vsCWQa40XA5ava4RvBW7eOOic5ASIgNoWKK7xtfsnmabTBNnDTD9gWVohyxdOwe27VM93jx8RN0XIaD1G-zsgLR1X3IGwdbeRhFWfB03noKYcBONjNQzh0bEhWfHE1lNIuvZbhFFxkIh/s640/IMG_6898.JPG" width="640" /></a></div>
<br />
Decorating for Easter is so much fun! I love to look at all the pretty spring things at the stores. So many temptations, but I am controlling myself very well. When you live in a small place, you have to, or the clutter takes over.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhksUP4WUDwfX5uYBkBgOSHDJA1xPqwq6pEMOCI2fgLlLAfulqwuXFqRlqMty4OvNgD7Nrtw7gRkPDr4DVI2dZQjpViSak8Dhn3c9c4ZSS9oFCbk0Ew-Pa-W8vtjjFrG3K1ZWGOvDx6qufB/s1600/IMG_6961.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="480" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhksUP4WUDwfX5uYBkBgOSHDJA1xPqwq6pEMOCI2fgLlLAfulqwuXFqRlqMty4OvNgD7Nrtw7gRkPDr4DVI2dZQjpViSak8Dhn3c9c4ZSS9oFCbk0Ew-Pa-W8vtjjFrG3K1ZWGOvDx6qufB/s640/IMG_6961.JPG" width="640" /></a></div>
<br />
And here is the chocolate/coconut cake roll I made for Easter. Delicious and very rich!<br />
Got to go now...so many things to do.<br />
Have a blessed week!<br />

<br />
<br />
Just stopping by to share a little ornament I finished last week.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEg327pjYOb_uhhMe73zuJcK2TR0n8xc1NB60QKnZrdqhP0OTb4U-ECU3dpGH-UPoCYeMPdfRU-ZOFMSlYYtYDqMhLvAOWcAuJU6PM6XAi5cEuj_zy7VKqmHixsoM4WDfxPuggJ4YnJ6pUUt/s1600/IMG_6805.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="480" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEg327pjYOb_uhhMe73zuJcK2TR0n8xc1NB60QKnZrdqhP0OTb4U-ECU3dpGH-UPoCYeMPdfRU-ZOFMSlYYtYDqMhLvAOWcAuJU6PM6XAi5cEuj_zy7VKqmHixsoM4WDfxPuggJ4YnJ6pUUt/s640/IMG_6805.JPG" width="640" /></a></div>
<br />
This is a design from Lizzie Kate. It was fast and fun to stitch.<br />
<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiWzoV3Z_jBOeyrJKQ5_V0usbqumubM6yyTSqWcmQ2O__xvUAqNqCfOv3lXOU5epTA_iE70v3okqKJsJ5LrmsuJpD7BufKNnHkAtHSmKADafweGeWteg7ECjO5v1RB6FOVbmMMRlM8BhnnW/s1600/IMG_6818.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="480" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiWzoV3Z_jBOeyrJKQ5_V0usbqumubM6yyTSqWcmQ2O__xvUAqNqCfOv3lXOU5epTA_iE70v3okqKJsJ5LrmsuJpD7BufKNnHkAtHSmKADafweGeWteg7ECjO5v1RB6FOVbmMMRlM8BhnnW/s640/IMG_6818.JPG" width="640" /></a></div>
<br />
I hardly have any Saint Patrick's decor. Every year I try to get a little something, but nothing at the stores tickles my fancy. I need to make a couple more ornaments, or maybe a little Irish clothespin doll. <br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgoDoZMEhcr_G-qPXZlLbosOYZ_nv_bW3Ra5-WwqQQQQdJd_LHdXYw44Y9j4Rn8Q-e2aIfll3YlQi5WTBhOXMeJad5Mjn-bS3IbVkrqTcamiow8BT0dtPMX-Jrl9lIQFyNRGH29V3xlX7Zs/s1600/IMG_6821.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="480" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgoDoZMEhcr_G-qPXZlLbosOYZ_nv_bW3Ra5-WwqQQQQdJd_LHdXYw44Y9j4Rn8Q-e2aIfll3YlQi5WTBhOXMeJad5Mjn-bS3IbVkrqTcamiow8BT0dtPMX-Jrl9lIQFyNRGH29V3xlX7Zs/s640/IMG_6821.JPG" width="640" /></a></div>
<br />
For now, that will have to do. Got a succulent inside, and some split peas.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhFsRuIHrVQSD3r0FPQ7nGWQGlH8qvPnryGWLvXMt7omwHRgNVZY7Rc7S9aK-bnKpGuaLivmNGPQgmopwRwF6lL7fy5heH5xtCandNq_nm7h8NAxgT1zD1Fau4kQPukgFFZMDq_Gj2v09OX/s1600/IMG_6829.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="640" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhFsRuIHrVQSD3r0FPQ7nGWQGlH8qvPnryGWLvXMt7omwHRgNVZY7Rc7S9aK-bnKpGuaLivmNGPQgmopwRwF6lL7fy5heH5xtCandNq_nm7h8NAxgT1zD1Fau4kQPukgFFZMDq_Gj2v09OX/s640/IMG_6829.JPG" width="480" /></a></div>
<br />
I have a couple more things to share.<br />
First, this lovely French pattern. I got it around Christmas.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjkKcDK2ZXHaMVcVue6RffH7Rr8fv80zHRLQcStKlATB-52FmGQ_tIrrPvp5g_0TDPMtjUF2v-YEIdc8H2EnH9cDaHDbL2m102FZT8qPSTZiZOXP96bxk4pEadrEZybZ_23YIz9cEheiyR9/s1600/IMG_6288.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="640" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjkKcDK2ZXHaMVcVue6RffH7Rr8fv80zHRLQcStKlATB-52FmGQ_tIrrPvp5g_0TDPMtjUF2v-YEIdc8H2EnH9cDaHDbL2m102FZT8qPSTZiZOXP96bxk4pEadrEZybZ_23YIz9cEheiyR9/s640/IMG_6288.JPG" width="480" /></a></div>
<br />
So pretty! You can get at The French Needle online store.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjyZ4XPEiQlEmfSfIWFup_3TgW7XzizrQdIsing7dAVqPVpFId4x6-2JPQb8VgDG7qHpdjvbMRb_tWOAkIWpLbVqyq3jNACIC_m-XhTQVhA1pUaPy5twACFMQgLeWPaKZ11lm1SpAvh0re9/s1600/IMG_6293.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="480" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjyZ4XPEiQlEmfSfIWFup_3TgW7XzizrQdIsing7dAVqPVpFId4x6-2JPQb8VgDG7qHpdjvbMRb_tWOAkIWpLbVqyq3jNACIC_m-XhTQVhA1pUaPy5twACFMQgLeWPaKZ11lm1SpAvh0re9/s640/IMG_6293.JPG" width="640" /></a></div>
<br />
I can't wait to make something using these patterns! I am just crazy about French designs.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiySn0wLdmvxxVWjD9A0N-kMFdQzGVSr9FoLV_czau3qRxzn9oQAxCzS9Q4dpeD1J8Rr-J3VFkbNomByJStnM5_HoeTi0nQD7sH5BrQruijHCvqgXh1T23li_y-jVbjTjynO-oTn-qFfwen/s1600/IMG_6857.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="480" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiySn0wLdmvxxVWjD9A0N-kMFdQzGVSr9FoLV_czau3qRxzn9oQAxCzS9Q4dpeD1J8Rr-J3VFkbNomByJStnM5_HoeTi0nQD7sH5BrQruijHCvqgXh1T23li_y-jVbjTjynO-oTn-qFfwen/s640/IMG_6857.JPG" width="640" /></a></div>
<br />
And this is a shadowbox I got at Home Goods a while ago.<br />
I picked some cute thing I had to display in it.<br />
The bobbin lace butterfly is from Brazil, as the little doily. My Mom made the doily many years ago.<br />
The origami dress was made by me, I love it!<br />
The Flower Fairies postcard I got for Brenda's 5th birthday party. Just so sweet!<br />
<br />
Thanks for visiting!<br />

<br />
So many things to do... and fells like I can't acomplish anything...<br />
But I have a couple of cute things to share today.<br />
A while ago I finished this little cross stitch ornament.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEitnbrjB9lBl_j1N8lr08f09X1JcbhyphenhyphenQTWvZg_g4LyvbAKLscEK-IPEzPq6kDpUEo5XcjeVtOCvFSG07-LJ-CK2pN_hYE79n4PNDd57lcF7-UM-gdBEHcrun3A8Q3jBEoBkODZjUJ01rVVz/s1600/IMG_6734.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="480" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEitnbrjB9lBl_j1N8lr08f09X1JcbhyphenhyphenQTWvZg_g4LyvbAKLscEK-IPEzPq6kDpUEo5XcjeVtOCvFSG07-LJ-CK2pN_hYE79n4PNDd57lcF7-UM-gdBEHcrun3A8Q3jBEoBkODZjUJ01rVVz/s640/IMG_6734.JPG" width="640" /></a></div>
<br />
The pattern is from Happy Childhood Collection - Christmas Time by Perrette Samouiloff. You can get it <a href="http://www.creativepoppypatterns.com/perrette-samouiloff-happy-childhood-christmas-xml-208_210-726.html">here</a>.<br />
It's a pattern with several little designs, all very cute. I am working on something else using some more of Perrette's sweet little kids.<br />
This was a very easy and fast ornament to stitch, and I love it! I chose to finish it as a simple little pillow, using a blue fabric.<br />
<br />
My next finish is an embroidery picture I made for Brenda.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgrd-t5vBcxrUnpjF_OIEIw9bdsqeMHpSdSWPdH-e7F4tKg-XxFIobGHCuL52j32lAqKfRwJefBoAzj719w6IcHGP1y_Wfv1huKAmGLo9jFC2VNnTGIv7P73AKX-aUaSssGPwRhIJEHmbT7/s1600/IMG_6767.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="480" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgrd-t5vBcxrUnpjF_OIEIw9bdsqeMHpSdSWPdH-e7F4tKg-XxFIobGHCuL52j32lAqKfRwJefBoAzj719w6IcHGP1y_Wfv1huKAmGLo9jFC2VNnTGIv7P73AKX-aUaSssGPwRhIJEHmbT7/s640/IMG_6767.JPG" width="640" /></a></div>
<br />
You can get the pattern on Etsy. I added the words.<br />
I love this design. So sweet and feminine. The frame was an old plastic one from the Thrifty Store.<br />
Some spray paint, and it was like new.<br />
Brenda is turning twelve this year, and we are getting some new things for her room. She still very much a little girl, but almost as tall as me.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhMBO8FwY1tqDBq3vaMYmroLJViLsVv5maqMalAhfc3_LwELpt078zimu7gGvHkzaVyHo3NklJGjgNdhcTeWHtPMvyCeBGUJUGgTNhm8rXK5le4ndrN09_1Zx3Qn5BYGDZnNWveJPiEj5q0/s1600/IMG_6776.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="640" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhMBO8FwY1tqDBq3vaMYmroLJViLsVv5maqMalAhfc3_LwELpt078zimu7gGvHkzaVyHo3NklJGjgNdhcTeWHtPMvyCeBGUJUGgTNhm8rXK5le4ndrN09_1Zx3Qn5BYGDZnNWveJPiEj5q0/s640/IMG_6776.JPG" width="480" /></a></div>

<br />
Thank you for stopping by, and have a great weekend!<br />

<br />
My last post was ages ago! Got too busy with the holidays, and some health issues.<br />
Anyways, I decided to post a little something today.<br />

This is the book bag I made for Brenda.<br />
She loves to go to the library, and it was time for her to have her own bag. It has a pocket to put her library card. She just loves it!<br />
<br />

<br />
Here is the detail of the embroidery. The pattern is from the WeeWonderfulls <a href="http://www.weewonderfuls.com/store/book-club-stitchettes-all.html">Book Club Stitchettes</a>.<br />
It's such a sweet set of nine designs, you buy the pdf and print at home.<br />
I wanted to stitch this girl for Brenda so badly! A perfect design for a book bag, don't you think?<br />
I had a piece of turquoise corduroy laying around that was just the right amount for the job. So, what can be better? A gift made only using things that I already had.<br />
Brenda wears it very proudly, she gets lots of compliments from the library ladies.<br />
So, kind of crazy posting about a Christmas present in February, but better late than never.<br />
<br />
Have a wonderful rest of the week!<br />

<br />
I finished Halloween Rules a couple of weeks ago. Life has been so busy, only now I had the time to post it.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEh4gqkhzKKzss1wQh5lRbkUz4MOM54VcnRzY1tKHZSz7e_GkV9YTqoLz8dSoBNegERpSde6GH7upsSmfrEKk7qat2VQ0DXSZJw9m8RTrikIRhvDSr5dEpjzXeQHTOTD5sZE3KPjHBz6FKaT/s1600/IMG_5694.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="640" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEh4gqkhzKKzss1wQh5lRbkUz4MOM54VcnRzY1tKHZSz7e_GkV9YTqoLz8dSoBNegERpSde6GH7upsSmfrEKk7qat2VQ0DXSZJw9m8RTrikIRhvDSr5dEpjzXeQHTOTD5sZE3KPjHBz6FKaT/s640/IMG_5694.JPG" width="480" /></a></div>
<br />
It was stitched on 14 count aida tea dyed by me. The fabric is a bit darker than it looks on the picture. I stitched it with DMC and made lots of color changes.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjy7OfCpkmee3GWT3yA0bd-1OxXuVY77i4yBkxa5-aCEeBPcnVXLW7d0R0jyFvzaSJQ-wect4MAWhOQIxNzx9d0GCqUOCGpFOFz6lI5ntvlrPs-z6uA9dBexOPoCmnNnJPxfEOruy26vNwo/s1600/IMG_5637.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="640" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjy7OfCpkmee3GWT3yA0bd-1OxXuVY77i4yBkxa5-aCEeBPcnVXLW7d0R0jyFvzaSJQ-wect4MAWhOQIxNzx9d0GCqUOCGpFOFz6lI5ntvlrPs-z6uA9dBexOPoCmnNnJPxfEOruy26vNwo/s640/IMG_5637.JPG" width="480" /></a></div>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjLUuzBy2f4FPRSUfAc2Tl2FjYFj3oWAcd5-IN1YlryMWwFcGVwPN07ZBU8gypD1dyvVpwMmPRwnNUCI_96LqGKiwgp6jlc0QL492pPL54klFD9JtMraMSymwYXMBXcycEK_YRfZ04Sxsp1/s1600/IMG_5638.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="640" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjLUuzBy2f4FPRSUfAc2Tl2FjYFj3oWAcd5-IN1YlryMWwFcGVwPN07ZBU8gypD1dyvVpwMmPRwnNUCI_96LqGKiwgp6jlc0QL492pPL54klFD9JtMraMSymwYXMBXcycEK_YRfZ04Sxsp1/s640/IMG_5638.JPG" width="480" /></a></div>
<br />
I also made changes on the space between the designs. I think it looks less busy this way.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<img border="0" height="640" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjWaDE5ZAmpLJl6UiQTTE-5_X7IojAGx6Uep0kR7trWz318Zv46VmTwkL8NBQpjTLjzFJIDGw24D-GbCOmbuPvU3ZrOPeq-6eOq-g8NJPao7hHFdZgeX16huSfcO7d5G_hNXbxVbyKOaYHG/s640/IMG_5649.JPG" width="480" /></div>
<br />
I chose to finish it similar to <a href="http://passionfruitprincess.blogspot.com/2014/09/christmas-rules-finished.html">Christmas Rules</a> that I finished last year. <br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEh8Ar8kEg1HquqS23GJPWuk0vTNKqaalYWDhmZplQgJVhM0mPzyYe7InvcttoZvlOnusVDHcY1ds3KNV4rjS7yEW3ihdH5GSQVIYTc-rmV2Ku9EBuu2VWt9Io_lS1n_btVQlspYgErTvfzL/s1600/IMG_5665.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="480" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEh8Ar8kEg1HquqS23GJPWuk0vTNKqaalYWDhmZplQgJVhM0mPzyYe7InvcttoZvlOnusVDHcY1ds3KNV4rjS7yEW3ihdH5GSQVIYTc-rmV2Ku9EBuu2VWt9Io_lS1n_btVQlspYgErTvfzL/s640/IMG_5665.JPG" width="640" /></a></div>
<br />
I used black ric-rac to trim and a metal hanger. For the back, I used the black and orange polka dot fabric pictured.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjfUj9UH0MnhK3XLT2XluGgrpHPNIr6w-OhL3EazwbN8PRYxQ6Y0H6oB8GCGTjSJQehUa_5qiWysnHO7zDQYt-58zHIUGevpJekDEaWZCgewbFwL-MaPiehHatxbAKmPQSUVtQd2oUH7aD2/s1600/IMG_5691.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="640" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjfUj9UH0MnhK3XLT2XluGgrpHPNIr6w-OhL3EazwbN8PRYxQ6Y0H6oB8GCGTjSJQehUa_5qiWysnHO7zDQYt-58zHIUGevpJekDEaWZCgewbFwL-MaPiehHatxbAKmPQSUVtQd2oUH7aD2/s640/IMG_5691.JPG" width="480" /></a></div>
<br />
The light inside my apartment is not good, I always have to take pictures outside.<br />
I love this hanger I found on Etsy. It gives it the perfect finishing touch.<br />
To be able to finish this, I am late on my other stitching. And now it's time to start making gifts and other things to prepare for Christmas. I will see how it goes.<br />
<br />
Have a Happy and safe Halloween!<br />

<br />
School started yesterday. Life is back on it's old routine.<br />
It's very hot right now in Southern California. Because of the drought, we only are allowed watering the plants twice a week. My little garden is not doing very well, but is surviving.<br />
Hope you are enjoying your end of Summer. Here we still have some hot weather ahead. <br />
I have some things to share since my last post. It was way back in June!<br />
First, my Flip-it Stamps cross stitch ornaments.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEinqWaclN5oiBQBLKiDe94gvQf8LxBpwj2rv-Tf7_ifn3usA0BLWaBreqqdtOAWiHh7aG2K001m584P6gjO9nGHEcVDvwfOmm9mOgWP0-8-4hY6gQLpDPYb9DDlY5pF9honZXMlHzyKNQ8I/s1600/IMG_5486.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="480" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEinqWaclN5oiBQBLKiDe94gvQf8LxBpwj2rv-Tf7_ifn3usA0BLWaBreqqdtOAWiHh7aG2K001m584P6gjO9nGHEcVDvwfOmm9mOgWP0-8-4hY6gQLpDPYb9DDlY5pF9honZXMlHzyKNQ8I/s640/IMG_5486.JPG" width="640" /></a></div>

<br />
Here are July and August. I made some color changes on both. I am just so excited to finish my little collection. I am late this month, still need to start the September ornament!<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiXc9yEM0-LGckz1oKRIQsuX9o08U_fuRrKcYnCLgv9BYicQ83jNwGF_q4VxdkJYeNmKxDSfFMWmYVwTyh8GteCFG8jH5cELTDjx19LKCSZkLF5a7pUCEMPRBAkGsT6yFdJB_UT7LVj5kMQ/s1600/IMG_5151.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="480" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiXc9yEM0-LGckz1oKRIQsuX9o08U_fuRrKcYnCLgv9BYicQ83jNwGF_q4VxdkJYeNmKxDSfFMWmYVwTyh8GteCFG8jH5cELTDjx19LKCSZkLF5a7pUCEMPRBAkGsT6yFdJB_UT7LVj5kMQ/s640/IMG_5151.JPG" width="640" /> </a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
I finally made a patriotic table runner for my sideboard. It's a simple one, made with fabric I had at home. I am trying to use the fabric from my stash, instead of buying more.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

<br />
This is Mason, I don't remember if I posted him before, but he is too cute to not share. He is a Boyd's Bears cookie jar, but I never put cookies inside him.<br />
<br />

<br />
This little flag pillow I made with scraps and tiny star buttons.<br />
<br />

Three new clothespin dolls for my collection! I just love to find the right accessories for each one. This time, I had everything in my craft "stuff".<br />

I had great plans for baking with Brenda this Summer. But, most days were just too hot to bake.<br />
We managed to bake a little, including a peach pie. Brenda made an small one all for herself.<br />

Don't you love the many beautiful knit pumpkins on Pinterest? Some are made from old sweaters. Since I had no old orange sweater, I found some orange yarn and knitted one. It was very easy!<br />

<br />
And here is my latest project. A pie carrier for my gingerbread loving friend. I had this fabric in my stash. She loved it!<br />
That's all for now. Hope you stay cool wherever you live. <br />
Have a great day!<br />

<br />
The last couple of weeks were quite busy with end of the school year activities. Now Brenda is home and will be another kind of busy...it will be fun!<br />
I was able to finish some ornaments. Here they are.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjzZF0jpc3YAQ9xcefkEXroxt0_D9OExwJozcO8q2cpqkv7Oh9i4menjjA8-BiuyjEL4VBnTaIcXVkGSEUBtN_ps9MpHY9DrzapBW7zTt4MXSmBH2KZLnpWZyxA0rmusttByRJbLt17ajvS/s1600/IMG_4818.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="300" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjzZF0jpc3YAQ9xcefkEXroxt0_D9OExwJozcO8q2cpqkv7Oh9i4menjjA8-BiuyjEL4VBnTaIcXVkGSEUBtN_ps9MpHY9DrzapBW7zTt4MXSmBH2KZLnpWZyxA0rmusttByRJbLt17ajvS/s400/IMG_4818.JPG" width="400" /></a></div>
<br />
The June ornament from Lizzie Kate's Flip It Stamps series. It was stitched on 14 count Aida oatmeal with DMC floss. I made several color changes.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjs4P5ful7IeAm3CYwstFLlCT8kqvrz9LbIRU5eoIGm-KrZpuXQmtm9OEU_ZsQ3eds9ivL41xTWd2va8bhY_tfXymMn8s_E_DoTde3QxwNSC-pku_NmCQCvXdHNvr6zXUMTkwqoVtLgl7xy/s1600/IMG_4833.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="400" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjs4P5ful7IeAm3CYwstFLlCT8kqvrz9LbIRU5eoIGm-KrZpuXQmtm9OEU_ZsQ3eds9ivL41xTWd2va8bhY_tfXymMn8s_E_DoTde3QxwNSC-pku_NmCQCvXdHNvr6zXUMTkwqoVtLgl7xy/s400/IMG_4833.JPG" width="300" /></a></div>
<br />
Recently I got a couple of new patterns from <a href="http://www.creativepoppypatterns.com/perrette-samouiloff-patterns-xsl-296_299.html">Creative Poppy</a>. This little swimming girl is part of "Happy Childhood - Seaside" from Perrette Samouiloff. I love her designs and it's such a treat to be able to buy them online and print at home. The Aida is really light blue, not white as it looks.<br />
I made the ornament for Brenda to celebrate her swimming classes. Swimming is the only sport the doctor recommends for her, and she loves it!<br />
<br />

These two ornaments I made a while ago and had not posted yet. The pattern is a freebie that I can't find the link now. I made the green and pink to give as a baby shower gift, but the blue and pink is mine. I just love it!<br />
Now a little bit of sewing. We were invited to the wedding of a very sweet girl.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhrHembvU8Pn3F3j7aAz2vfp_h9x8Ptf2Ct-gLsuQuzUBeZxMQW2qaMpN2fptR72QOgm9EPaxzsivSGfbAwwqXIJucHs_siMs7RMPd4UJnKf6rDJzH5GehyphenhyphenA0BHjbcq6b-0qaBevyLdM_Jh/s1600/IMG_4994.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="300" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhrHembvU8Pn3F3j7aAz2vfp_h9x8Ptf2Ct-gLsuQuzUBeZxMQW2qaMpN2fptR72QOgm9EPaxzsivSGfbAwwqXIJucHs_siMs7RMPd4UJnKf6rDJzH5GehyphenhyphenA0BHjbcq6b-0qaBevyLdM_Jh/s400/IMG_4994.JPG" width="400" /></a></div>
<br />
I made this casserole carrier as her wedding gift.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhQIdSufm1LzO0l_TpGOCCpKU3qzIAIhNXZJpzcx2VyIJNAcZSmm00muZXaPtW1xufFEPd0yn05BGCAetdrt2KLBhxJfIFtQSZGtYqQkjvgypYRGzUIVyy4vzhHpjz-vnANetoRufbfoE3k/s1600/IMG_4990.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="300" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhQIdSufm1LzO0l_TpGOCCpKU3qzIAIhNXZJpzcx2VyIJNAcZSmm00muZXaPtW1xufFEPd0yn05BGCAetdrt2KLBhxJfIFtQSZGtYqQkjvgypYRGzUIVyy4vzhHpjz-vnANetoRufbfoE3k/s400/IMG_4990.JPG" width="400" /></a></div>
<br />
Inside it, I put a Pyrex dish and a Gooseberry Patch cookbook. <br />
<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiL7TWAsmOSTlRmo-_3RR8QYOxAtLtysf35atCeeP4ni5MEc6981gfQU1F1BM8klWQsSECUL8xWfmml50VlzrWmTleTvSyyxHw84F0H_SQxwH79Kzo9x7mVJdFuCEQJV-j8tjPkKlafV9YC/s1600/IMG_4936.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="300" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiL7TWAsmOSTlRmo-_3RR8QYOxAtLtysf35atCeeP4ni5MEc6981gfQU1F1BM8klWQsSECUL8xWfmml50VlzrWmTleTvSyyxHw84F0H_SQxwH79Kzo9x7mVJdFuCEQJV-j8tjPkKlafV9YC/s400/IMG_4936.JPG" width="400" /></a></div>
<br />
And here is the picture of a little tea party we had for Brenda's birthday. It was sweet and simple, but fun. She loved it.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

<br />
She got the gifts she wanted, and I made a couple of new things for her room. An origami dress garland for the bookcase, and a little bolster pillow. I love those origami dresses, they are just so cute and so girly, I will be making more soon!<br />
That's all for now. Lots to do around here.<br />
Have a great week!<br />

<br />
Last week I made something that was waiting for a long time.<br />
I got a layer cake from Moda fabrics on e-bay to make a table runner but just never got to make it.<br />
I love quilting. The problem is that I am not very good at it...but, I keep trying. So, here is my Ruby table runner.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhlBl_t59bGNcQHR-va96JJ41pRs7-dcgtQVW7bxOVZ4lHW91kVPXsj1Acm2qICbSBxzHOaFvR743diQKTXMg7NNH_FiVU8-iyLB9jj7SMv_KHeN5tRDk88OeApktCAP3TF_Tpfh7biNN19/s1600/IMG_4558.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="300" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhlBl_t59bGNcQHR-va96JJ41pRs7-dcgtQVW7bxOVZ4lHW91kVPXsj1Acm2qICbSBxzHOaFvR743diQKTXMg7NNH_FiVU8-iyLB9jj7SMv_KHeN5tRDk88OeApktCAP3TF_Tpfh7biNN19/s400/IMG_4558.JPG" width="400" /></a></div>
<br />
I love this line of fabric, an old one now, but beautiful. I played safe and just sewed the squares together. Simple, but fast and less challenging. Sometimes easy is the best.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEj18982fwjBD0neKXuBV_k9M9odNfEdWhMaZ0mMlMUw93njHaLOoZJWY1NsXc5dJ_je-kMnSL_HfeJzH960FlvXl3NyKfYG4hbuj9LUfq3-JxipXe-tLHJ6VhGaDSroGe-HKF-fQmeLaS6i/s1600/IMG_4565.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="300" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEj18982fwjBD0neKXuBV_k9M9odNfEdWhMaZ0mMlMUw93njHaLOoZJWY1NsXc5dJ_je-kMnSL_HfeJzH960FlvXl3NyKfYG4hbuj9LUfq3-JxipXe-tLHJ6VhGaDSroGe-HKF-fQmeLaS6i/s400/IMG_4565.JPG" width="400" /></a></div>
<br />
I also made this pie carrier. Another simple sewing project.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhn-yG5eXkTh6qBqH3AD3136wRQWiFz1uIdASssDmp6XcstbczhNlVpafh20trJnLLhf1KSBPWvYkK0dSBU-N24Yk6gxf3hkDMiAlY9IuTiaCQx7yql0Ibq4Ua6aAqvvQl4EmM6luv25Gsy/s1600/IMG_4568.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="300" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhn-yG5eXkTh6qBqH3AD3136wRQWiFz1uIdASssDmp6XcstbczhNlVpafh20trJnLLhf1KSBPWvYkK0dSBU-N24Yk6gxf3hkDMiAlY9IuTiaCQx7yql0Ibq4Ua6aAqvvQl4EmM6luv25Gsy/s400/IMG_4568.JPG" width="400" /></a></div>
<br />
It's just a padded square of fabric. You can get the idea with my picture, but if you need, you can find many tutorials online teaching how to make this.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjrS7_fN8n1ADD510tR9azvSjt0hV2valp1zgcDSskhx_QZWObtCvNWjlTgC5EE1DZCAxe0hWQ0Kx0fxCoAYDwBOiHfaFvMSSuAj9YVxF9tNF5U-gcWIXM3bKEMt-kRebHXECn84bzoZuH-/s1600/IMG_4576.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="240" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjrS7_fN8n1ADD510tR9azvSjt0hV2valp1zgcDSskhx_QZWObtCvNWjlTgC5EE1DZCAxe0hWQ0Kx0fxCoAYDwBOiHfaFvMSSuAj9YVxF9tNF5U-gcWIXM3bKEMt-kRebHXECn84bzoZuH-/s320/IMG_4576.JPG" width="320" /></a></div>
<br />
<br />
To close the carrier, you just pass the middle of the fabric handle trough the two loops. Just great to take round or square casseroles to potlucks this summer. If you use a one way print fabric would be perfect. Mine is not, but I love this apples and pears fabric and used it anyways.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEh3_EImwjGma3asb5CDJnjVFQzGH7dbUFewDWE-0yuDaVwjs1zWK7OlGMJEGa4rVHYc8Ykikv0UZ6Ln6kZVLKoE45IDnSk2oanCUXJPoEpYvcsyhtT13Y7If2-eCUM8KbYJa0yNjNRWYZR0/s1600/IMG_4593.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="400" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEh3_EImwjGma3asb5CDJnjVFQzGH7dbUFewDWE-0yuDaVwjs1zWK7OlGMJEGa4rVHYc8Ykikv0UZ6Ln6kZVLKoE45IDnSk2oanCUXJPoEpYvcsyhtT13Y7If2-eCUM8KbYJa0yNjNRWYZR0/s400/IMG_4593.JPG" width="300" /></a></div>
<br />
Last Friday Brenda went to a birthday tea party. I made this little apron as a gift to her friend. The birthday girl was one of those girls that have a lot of stuff. Hard to shop for...so, a cute apron was the solution. I hope she liked.<br />
And now this week's sewing. It was kind of hard, a very difficult fabric to work with.<br />
<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEihnmezzrksTWuZXuKi5CDHwFRiBBy1ZQCfaBqCT8GmtxN-T3_b7WSIpLvGPG1Nsjr2bogMZKN7BH85ZeZ1YvABDq6Fkslea7v9_Vata-RWyNakq7oJgVob-MrBN3BXoVCxd5eyXsi-cMyx/s1600/IMG_4712.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="300" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEihnmezzrksTWuZXuKi5CDHwFRiBBy1ZQCfaBqCT8GmtxN-T3_b7WSIpLvGPG1Nsjr2bogMZKN7BH85ZeZ1YvABDq6Fkslea7v9_Vata-RWyNakq7oJgVob-MrBN3BXoVCxd5eyXsi-cMyx/s400/IMG_4712.JPG" width="400" /></a></div>
<br />
These are thirty long sleeve shirts that I had to sew a stripe of silver fabric on. Brenda's school is doing the Disney Beauty and the Beast play. These shirts are part of the costume for the silverware from the "Be our guest" song. I volunteered to help with the costumes. <br />
So, that's what I was doing lately. Lots more to come.<br />
Thanks for stopping by, and enjoy your weekend!<br />

Just a little post to show my new finish.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEj1Lm-gccsakCT2vwuNWxRpG_8rBTEBfIEf-G9Txdvhkrgn_xmFYhnmf38ns7I-4eGShCdiva1PNrPrO5Ysiprs0IPiAhpbW7j2G2P3Ibxhm3Jrs4iLnFZJ-33NBv1STVU7fnEZi1QwzTC_/s1600/IMG_4423.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEj1Lm-gccsakCT2vwuNWxRpG_8rBTEBfIEf-G9Txdvhkrgn_xmFYhnmf38ns7I-4eGShCdiva1PNrPrO5Ysiprs0IPiAhpbW7j2G2P3Ibxhm3Jrs4iLnFZJ-33NBv1STVU7fnEZi1QwzTC_/s1600/IMG_4423.JPG" height="300" width="400" /></a></div>
<br />
This is Lizzie Kate's May Flip It Stamps. I made several color changes because I wanted something more Spring looking. I think it turned out cute.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgfc0MAJir9XxyDqhMUbNrYCrUsL-8wz1Ko8ifeJkQbk39l44KCbjCjnX-2JfI6Z5yZV9htP-p4YKHRaHG2ZL7D-6IGuXMpcjiEAdfT1qG0WsPbRHnYWzeAI7OzmYJL3KLnF5lvykK8ZIPm/s1600/IMG_4429.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgfc0MAJir9XxyDqhMUbNrYCrUsL-8wz1Ko8ifeJkQbk39l44KCbjCjnX-2JfI6Z5yZV9htP-p4YKHRaHG2ZL7D-6IGuXMpcjiEAdfT1qG0WsPbRHnYWzeAI7OzmYJL3KLnF5lvykK8ZIPm/s1600/IMG_4429.JPG" height="300" width="400" /></a></div>
<br />
I am very happy with my growing collection of Flip It Stamps ornaments. I had stitched just January and March before, but made the other three months recently.<br />
Hopefully I will be able to finish the rest by the end of the year.<br />

<br />
Last month was a busy one with several events to attend. Brenda's class had their "Walk Through the American Revolution". She was Patrick Henry, and I made her costume with a yarn wig and all. It was fun!<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjaJ_deQdbRFuHDuQtIA5mVvEZuwzuu-j5VD2ZCvNcuO9ZZKTK55CbIIWXfNWmx7JhPXQZ7iAd-qO1C7s2zj43OTULCXI2pKgWcs7v5iuoIEQK2qPqB0STFPxD5Az-U07pbIXdiTGMtElZ6/s1600/IMG_4291.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjaJ_deQdbRFuHDuQtIA5mVvEZuwzuu-j5VD2ZCvNcuO9ZZKTK55CbIIWXfNWmx7JhPXQZ7iAd-qO1C7s2zj43OTULCXI2pKgWcs7v5iuoIEQK2qPqB0STFPxD5Az-U07pbIXdiTGMtElZ6/s1600/IMG_4291.JPG" height="400" width="300" /></a></div>
<br />
We also had the annual fundraising auction for the Girl's Camp at my church. I made this cute cherry apron to donate. I love this fabric!<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhpD155J9g7qgpMDq2jQDFyBlII83WpEYeO1kyPFo0vxEGujl6zL5saPYknhPaWbaRbrnPwsoIU2hYym4fid1DyyQx06wCAfrO8jwo6e_4L3WA9x9dNKp0Iwm0Rdfpfl8vMvq7FOxv5TLJR/s1600/IMG_4340.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhpD155J9g7qgpMDq2jQDFyBlII83WpEYeO1kyPFo0vxEGujl6zL5saPYknhPaWbaRbrnPwsoIU2hYym4fid1DyyQx06wCAfrO8jwo6e_4L3WA9x9dNKp0Iwm0Rdfpfl8vMvq7FOxv5TLJR/s1600/IMG_4340.JPG" height="400" width="300" /></a></div>
<br />
I also made my trifle. It sold for a hundred dollars! I can't believe that next year Brenda will be one of the girls going to camp...she will be twelve years old! I don't know where the time went.<br />
Got to go now... I need to make a baby shower gift and a costume for Brenda's school play.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

Have a wonderful rest of the week, and a Happy Mother's Day!<br />

<br />
I was able to finish two more ornaments.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhnFukG2tqXZYNbKtdd_1a8aeQX6IxiWGTQQGnjCumE1-9R5rUrY7cK1La9mYDjs2BH8_3TG88YIXVaycZELlF-Ukh3-5vzNfbgWbGrilcpdtDfVpPvvQ7im3XQJd0Jm3_V75m3jNG0M2lL/s1600/IMG_4236.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="300" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhnFukG2tqXZYNbKtdd_1a8aeQX6IxiWGTQQGnjCumE1-9R5rUrY7cK1La9mYDjs2BH8_3TG88YIXVaycZELlF-Ukh3-5vzNfbgWbGrilcpdtDfVpPvvQ7im3XQJd0Jm3_V75m3jNG0M2lL/s1600/IMG_4236.JPG" width="400" /></a></div>
<br />
First, this Lizzie Kate April Flip It Stamps. I changed the colors a little, and really like it!<br />
It's stitched on 14 aida oatmeal with DMC floss.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjZGFbaqe5VUjZyyxJMFG63Q7Ad1sqyHXO5Kv0m2U-UKeYdlx5y3t_blPwk8zzygjNMRgQ1DynMKF6WKX8MjjYxf9T8DnWNqFG5MrdoDA98hwVxxM3WB6phyphenhyphen-Pdkr93EdrIyVSTBTHuRHo5/s1600/IMG_4240.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="400" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjZGFbaqe5VUjZyyxJMFG63Q7Ad1sqyHXO5Kv0m2U-UKeYdlx5y3t_blPwk8zzygjNMRgQ1DynMKF6WKX8MjjYxf9T8DnWNqFG5MrdoDA98hwVxxM3WB6phyphenhyphen-Pdkr93EdrIyVSTBTHuRHo5/s1600/IMG_4240.JPG" width="300" /></a></div>
<br />
The next ornament is this cute design from Prairie Schooler - Just hatched. I love the little chicks walking back and forth. I finally stitched this one! I used DMC floss using colors I had on hand.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

<br />
I used moss, some English tin eggs I got on e-bay years ago, a little nest and birds from Michael's.<br />
The empty spots were filled with silk violets and ivy. Two of my favorite cross stitch ornaments give the fining touch. The top ornament was made by <a href="http://stitchingdream.blogspot.com/">Carol</a>. It's a small masterpiece.<br />
<br />

<br />
<br />
I had a birthday in March, and here are a couple of the gifts I got. I was crazy about this book since I saw it at the library. I just had to have it! So many cute projects in one book. Many craft books these days have only a couple of projects that I want to make. This one is different...hard to decide what to make first. I got the Willow Tree "abundance" figurine from a dear friend. I love it!<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhOPTSgJ-DV7eJrQ18avtSPysieZgN9Zk9ubRBu4JqOntljOtByqtN8IJVNuteWoXcnWaRwpbE44mf5eNQ21xk-UwwYIl6EEcd1OuDw2QREXrWVfasDwCDPbOqj7mkIaKFckeT0dC8VxB3k/s1600/IMG_4120.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="300" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhOPTSgJ-DV7eJrQ18avtSPysieZgN9Zk9ubRBu4JqOntljOtByqtN8IJVNuteWoXcnWaRwpbE44mf5eNQ21xk-UwwYIl6EEcd1OuDw2QREXrWVfasDwCDPbOqj7mkIaKFckeT0dC8VxB3k/s1600/IMG_4120.JPG" width="400" /></a></div>

Now my three little flower girls live on a shelf above the computer. Aren't they cute?<br />
Anyways, that's all for now, I need to make some preparations for tomorrow.<br />
<br />
Thank you for stopping by, and have a wonderful Easter!<br />

<br />
I have lots of sewing and other things to do, but lately I got the cross stitch bug.<br />
Three finishes is a LOT for me. So, here they are!<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgeBLHXZKDK_vUONgdbSYpJT8xhc03krgeADcbylDF87TN063YTaECsfv65WO46xzoGEixTRygWnSCe5c0U0hk7vM1PGX_2c908IVJTwYD37WDt-6aZfERDWZYFQ_unJRk5NVvdW9fzHST4/s1600/IMG_3907.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="300" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgeBLHXZKDK_vUONgdbSYpJT8xhc03krgeADcbylDF87TN063YTaECsfv65WO46xzoGEixTRygWnSCe5c0U0hk7vM1PGX_2c908IVJTwYD37WDt-6aZfERDWZYFQ_unJRk5NVvdW9fzHST4/s1600/IMG_3907.JPG" width="400" /></a></div>
<br />
Three spring finishes! I love these designs. I wanted to stitch something that could be on display all Spring long, not only during Easter. So, these are the ones I picked.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEh-97IfxeQoela15VVlqRC-4DsXS1Eq_CDvIksGuiPFw7vEC4EOHq4k_Tb158zDQXeT7p5tu2XWFNmaMGeqAJ8pFxD-0L-d7rdlgLsk9DrdLSF-WzRZmrvcXunax4ZOxccQSooTucSrtS_x/s1600/IMG_3931.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="400" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEh-97IfxeQoela15VVlqRC-4DsXS1Eq_CDvIksGuiPFw7vEC4EOHq4k_Tb158zDQXeT7p5tu2XWFNmaMGeqAJ8pFxD-0L-d7rdlgLsk9DrdLSF-WzRZmrvcXunax4ZOxccQSooTucSrtS_x/s1600/IMG_3931.JPG" width="300" /></a></div>
<br />
This cute gardening girl is a design by Perrette Samouiloff. You can find many of her designs <a href="http://www.creativepoppypatterns.com/perrette-samouiloff-patterns-xsl-296_299.html">here</a>.<br />
You buy the patterns to print from your computer. Very nice and quite affordable.<br />

<br />
These two ornaments are from JBW designs. I love her patterns! They are easy but so beautiful.<br />
The French Country Lamb and French Country Rabbit were on my list for a while. I finally stitched them.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgpzl64LwlLtXav7XbBHSbd8akgCTBKlcRqyY9gxfDwiU9Y7XttJ28qUo1PM4RgqJWksti0Wl84EozODsYQucUwKXk16b1pJhb-0d9hZZDmBipnHP6OVFdLFWaj1Q0glJTO688EPIvqlKj2/s1600/IMG_3875.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="300" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgpzl64LwlLtXav7XbBHSbd8akgCTBKlcRqyY9gxfDwiU9Y7XttJ28qUo1PM4RgqJWksti0Wl84EozODsYQucUwKXk16b1pJhb-0d9hZZDmBipnHP6OVFdLFWaj1Q0glJTO688EPIvqlKj2/s1600/IMG_3875.JPG" width="400" /></a></div>
<br />
I had a hard time deciding how to finish the JBW designs ornaments. I left very little fabric around the rabbit, but I was able to finish it as a flat, like the lamb. It was my first time finishing with cord.<br />
The little girl was easy. I wanted to finish her as a pillow with that fabric since the beginning.<br />
I used 14 count aida for all three, because I have a lot of it, and also because my eyes are getting old :)<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

<br />
For now I am displaying them like this. I will probably change things around next week when I start decorating for Easter.<br />
Thank you for stoping by, and have a great week!<br />

<br />
Hope all had a nice Valentine's day.<br />
I know I am a little late, but here are some Valentine's things. Better late than never, right?<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiWojo6jGTiTZvuvBYPboOMFWyx46mbqagxcVIisjqXfM4xtuheh240nz9MPZuofZbyn28fLd7YhVuTy2l0qAhBAOpDp0ZhJq8am3KoIFKFXFVB5Q7K85TpQDnXvie5P0D8RuHGXXL3MmTe/s1600/IMG_3810.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiWojo6jGTiTZvuvBYPboOMFWyx46mbqagxcVIisjqXfM4xtuheh240nz9MPZuofZbyn28fLd7YhVuTy2l0qAhBAOpDp0ZhJq8am3KoIFKFXFVB5Q7K85TpQDnXvie5P0D8RuHGXXL3MmTe/s1600/IMG_3810.JPG" height="300" width="400" /></a></div>
<br />
The little mice we made for Brenda's class. We got the idea from <a href="http://www.parents.com/holiday/valentines-day/crafts/sweet-valentines-day-crafts-kids/#page=25">here</a>. Cute, but we had to make 37 of them. Brenda wanted to give them to her classmates and some teachers.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

<br />
I don't have a lot of Valentine's decorations. here are a few of them.<br />
<br />

<br />
The bears I got at Hallmark years ago. They have a magnet inside their faces, so when they kiss they stick together. When kissing, their cheeks used to blush, but not anymore. So, I just sat the little guys on the little red chair. Kind of boring, I guess. Today Brenda did this with them.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhwFmzuh0eO3G6ucBpOdL0DZs0D_1ZzsWof6jsCQHXZCRp9QTME0ddZIWIhIlbdVMt4C09zK4RqWfn6lb0sZwRcBnoVsnKFjKeMEaSe9SnnJwkJNWNI6cXwBPc4LbK3T2hXN5aupLlqt6I-/s1600/IMG_3857.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhwFmzuh0eO3G6ucBpOdL0DZs0D_1ZzsWof6jsCQHXZCRp9QTME0ddZIWIhIlbdVMt4C09zK4RqWfn6lb0sZwRcBnoVsnKFjKeMEaSe9SnnJwkJNWNI6cXwBPc4LbK3T2hXN5aupLlqt6I-/s1600/IMG_3857.JPG" height="400" width="300" /></a></div>
<br />
So cute, specially with the little cross stitch pillow. I think this will be my new way to display them now :)<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEivftaUmsR_QBiLukTZpIpHWPRvPinZ9NvES_TLPdC1wiR34_7m2-hPJn9ogaOS81iCuywnboYSdvQ5uLGXFigbxPBSqUD6tXVnO0mk1RspS4s70ey70jnXmaxN2t9z8qp0iE_ZHIWaeafM/s1600/IMG_3844.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEivftaUmsR_QBiLukTZpIpHWPRvPinZ9NvES_TLPdC1wiR34_7m2-hPJn9ogaOS81iCuywnboYSdvQ5uLGXFigbxPBSqUD6tXVnO0mk1RspS4s70ey70jnXmaxN2t9z8qp0iE_ZHIWaeafM/s1600/IMG_3844.JPG" height="400" width="300" /></a></div>
<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
I made this heart last year. I think I never posted it.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEg2A8CLy49v5S2igMPsy7pmbVjSLdUrw9CwIS3DYFXgnGsiN0WFHaGU2RO-WD0jWquNvtCWCeI_-NrVYJI1L36xbb65aT6ydCmbY0oV6uhdv07mCEqxpPj50EUCFNa0UY7JlmeHW7vZXGQr/s1600/IMG_3847.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEg2A8CLy49v5S2igMPsy7pmbVjSLdUrw9CwIS3DYFXgnGsiN0WFHaGU2RO-WD0jWquNvtCWCeI_-NrVYJI1L36xbb65aT6ydCmbY0oV6uhdv07mCEqxpPj50EUCFNa0UY7JlmeHW7vZXGQr/s1600/IMG_3847.JPG" height="400" width="300" /></a></div>
<br />
<br />
I also made this felt heart. This year I had plans to make more things, but all I was able to make was this Lizzie Kate ornament.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiPI6-1DytR9C1hkrzRaIAgqyntVx8BCP-_yTXxCOACAyOx93BroSSr9Dyva8gBLD6i9fCSGmE7HU5VQXg5M9u8bhJmX92jcyytJJcuVNnPigx-KZumP3jtR4yVZyYj23Ry4WSY34TZLVE8/s1600/IMG_3862.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiPI6-1DytR9C1hkrzRaIAgqyntVx8BCP-_yTXxCOACAyOx93BroSSr9Dyva8gBLD6i9fCSGmE7HU5VQXg5M9u8bhJmX92jcyytJJcuVNnPigx-KZumP3jtR4yVZyYj23Ry4WSY34TZLVE8/s1600/IMG_3862.JPG" height="400" width="300" /></a></div>
<br />
I finished it flat and trimmed with pink rickrack. I changed the colors a little bit to make it more "valentiny". For the back I used the pink and red fabric on this picture.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjSXruz6OllD0NH0olTvQIC0EUkMiQxTRWO6a62ZZU6WFRd_MEyldsYCLIXFLgVwghoUEKWo1Z4-aKYsd_TMJ-lUkHX81KljUxWi2qRGWVPmWfsT7cynx8GEaJLjHBLLcFPIen3tmFuvofc/s1600/IMG_3798.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjSXruz6OllD0NH0olTvQIC0EUkMiQxTRWO6a62ZZU6WFRd_MEyldsYCLIXFLgVwghoUEKWo1Z4-aKYsd_TMJ-lUkHX81KljUxWi2qRGWVPmWfsT7cynx8GEaJLjHBLLcFPIen3tmFuvofc/s1600/IMG_3798.JPG" height="300" width="400" /></a></div>
<br />
Let's see if I can finish the other months this year :) I am working on other things now.<br />
I started this crochet blanket to use my left over yarn... I am just over halfway and already had to buy more of most of the colors... not exactly how I had planed. Now I am stuck because I can't find one of the greens. I guess I will have to order online.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiFgRHm58Cv_rlJnrw9Nz8DmdXScxGmk4A_IkmF4327BBz76KDxGdClwLBhlZbj9jWcGtfFG_4utghfPTn7C384zARlBr81xJd2IRmfNGXIktqM3eVFgtrm2eRN_7Ir4YCmqBdID0JKq_QI/s1600/IMG_3870.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiFgRHm58Cv_rlJnrw9Nz8DmdXScxGmk4A_IkmF4327BBz76KDxGdClwLBhlZbj9jWcGtfFG_4utghfPTn7C384zARlBr81xJd2IRmfNGXIktqM3eVFgtrm2eRN_7Ir4YCmqBdID0JKq_QI/s1600/IMG_3870.JPG" height="400" width="300" /></a></div>
<br />
Crochet is fun, but it's not easy for me... but I will keep trying. I will post a picture when I finish it.<br />
<br />
That's all for now, have a good weekend!<br />

<br />
Long time since my last post. Time goes fast.<br />
I am working on some things that hopefully I will share soon.<br />
Today I will share the fairy garden we made last weekend. <br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhPw_kZh2WJy4nk5e6cz6613GMTW463LWd1naC8jEY293CvB6w3z77tq9Z7S8n9DaCkc2kXR0jCNQo859zbAzikPC3sdPnmktqNEQP2VGsXWXF-bs6sO6k4MkFl85er5aev3Z2VH5q6mi8x/s1600/IMG_3763.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhPw_kZh2WJy4nk5e6cz6613GMTW463LWd1naC8jEY293CvB6w3z77tq9Z7S8n9DaCkc2kXR0jCNQo859zbAzikPC3sdPnmktqNEQP2VGsXWXF-bs6sO6k4MkFl85er5aev3Z2VH5q6mi8x/s1600/IMG_3763.JPG" height="300" width="400" /></a></div>
<br />
We started with an old barbecue grill that we "rescued" from the alley behind our apartment. We had a fairy garden before, but it never worked out very well. I think this time, we got it!<br />
<br />

<br />
And a birdhouse. We got all pieces at Joann's. We put the house over a base of little rocks, so it will get less moisture from the dirt. The rocks are from Ikea.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiu3B3q7GJJwDKKgTGPO9SlckC4KeUBAFs5oyAhkIAzaQKaCfc1iUrgXb4pLluofL18wzH31QORdG13rrExQdiNk7u4ibCuJY47hyphenhyphenRofDJu4342CySo-HeNTxC26UAvtsSZHCe8Vf7rzfgb/s1600/IMG_3771.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiu3B3q7GJJwDKKgTGPO9SlckC4KeUBAFs5oyAhkIAzaQKaCfc1iUrgXb4pLluofL18wzH31QORdG13rrExQdiNk7u4ibCuJY47hyphenhyphenRofDJu4342CySo-HeNTxC26UAvtsSZHCe8Vf7rzfgb/s1600/IMG_3771.JPG" height="300" width="400" /></a></div>
<br />
One of the problems we had before with fairy gardens, was the plants growing too fast. This time, we chose succulents. I think with these kind of plants, we will be able to control and keep the garden easier. I still want to plant something behind the house, not sure what.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEi1AcWzOeo9ggE0wOWWiiaKOuVT8_oZuGmE55N4HM93zePDdCguy1W6VrVt9gjCuLCee0ecGrFiN6hjiYk_6qK-mbLW9YLD7L_bHBtzdIxWewsaIglRdHbDyY63qyaJBuUtyKmcAkXXrCWX/s1600/IMG_3772.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEi1AcWzOeo9ggE0wOWWiiaKOuVT8_oZuGmE55N4HM93zePDdCguy1W6VrVt9gjCuLCee0ecGrFiN6hjiYk_6qK-mbLW9YLD7L_bHBtzdIxWewsaIglRdHbDyY63qyaJBuUtyKmcAkXXrCWX/s1600/IMG_3772.JPG" height="300" width="400" /></a></div>
<br />
We are very happy with our little garden. Hopefully the donkey's tail and the green pearls will grow well and fall on the sides.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjw83shXGFYD46k1HXDqn8mAUJwi4PACpI6UG6D5RhL1WQWUY5u22mh3rmYmAhSzbvzbKpD9MW8geYDMzSYGiHequeMdugbV7uqJN2XyFroIUyRZkIDS9yCroDzWRKJbg3LQtntAtF1fgDm/s1600/IMG_3780.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjw83shXGFYD46k1HXDqn8mAUJwi4PACpI6UG6D5RhL1WQWUY5u22mh3rmYmAhSzbvzbKpD9MW8geYDMzSYGiHequeMdugbV7uqJN2XyFroIUyRZkIDS9yCroDzWRKJbg3LQtntAtF1fgDm/s1600/IMG_3780.JPG" height="400" width="300" /></a></div>

Now we are just waiting for a little fairy to move in :)<br />
<br />
Have a wonderful day!<br />

<br />
I got the worse cold in years, so things are a bit slow here.<br />
But, I am starting to make some progress on my handmade Christmas gifts. I have so many things to do, the cold just messed up everything. But, here you go.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhTY1IWaMk_twp3t5-yoDCVD1qTCuXjzsIk-yzutzgWUh_clXQ7i1Iqj7u0zARZR3ARkHMrnHoo1rm_5tb9gincJJLRbrulurh4cKYRaKUFY3dqqfw7dHiZHyvLqRgtmFlmRQQAto4vYuRQ/s1600/IMG_2766.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="300" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhTY1IWaMk_twp3t5-yoDCVD1qTCuXjzsIk-yzutzgWUh_clXQ7i1Iqj7u0zARZR3ARkHMrnHoo1rm_5tb9gincJJLRbrulurh4cKYRaKUFY3dqqfw7dHiZHyvLqRgtmFlmRQQAto4vYuRQ/s1600/IMG_2766.JPG" width="400" /></a></div>
<br />
This is Brenda's Frozen blanket. It is one of the top items on her Christmas wish list.<br />
Got the fleece at Joann, with coupons, of course. She is going to love it!<br />
Now I need to work on the Frozen pajamas and the other gifts.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEi3u11imKLFJaL-5r5acazYpQflhAvhVPB4F-xDI64oryaH_Wu78vPiJMSVN2d2m1_Our-7y2YneUTQb_UqUbgl_rGAXUpliQuIOfaXb9iL_zScf9YHI0DtnabS3w-tJS2v5h6KRBb6Iejn/s1600/IMG_2769.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="300" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEi3u11imKLFJaL-5r5acazYpQflhAvhVPB4F-xDI64oryaH_Wu78vPiJMSVN2d2m1_Our-7y2YneUTQb_UqUbgl_rGAXUpliQuIOfaXb9iL_zScf9YHI0DtnabS3w-tJS2v5h6KRBb6Iejn/s1600/IMG_2769.JPG" width="400" /></a></div>
<br />
Earlier this month I started to stitch "The Pumpkin Cottage", but lost interest. Suddenly, I don't like the colors I picked, I don't now... it is now is a WIP. We will see...next Fall I may like it again :)<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEikjazhZHXtii494_hEj9jdGpECg7TQlOgLQtu1oVNxq4P1JMuzi4Q4PE7JIpTAV-52FhawPMbGZqgHRkOJVZlYFhb1X6N4F57fwVOp-I8LIiEttGyTYifAHJCIvUZiEEpWn_AN6HcAt3LS/s1600/IMG_2635.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="300" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEikjazhZHXtii494_hEj9jdGpECg7TQlOgLQtu1oVNxq4P1JMuzi4Q4PE7JIpTAV-52FhawPMbGZqgHRkOJVZlYFhb1X6N4F57fwVOp-I8LIiEttGyTYifAHJCIvUZiEEpWn_AN6HcAt3LS/s1600/IMG_2635.JPG" width="400" /> </a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
Another blanket. This one I made for a friend's baby. Cute little dalmatian puppies fabric.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhdfkW7YK6qHmJxH3S1bG89azJ2eZMQ7Trm4OWVG45j6tb4sQUYIERV3IXgmZmZY8DPTZnwgF4o6Pzwcx1G1WpE2u5eBDoZDWAUQciK3oP0Qc1ULoS1kUzOzjCH3ZvesnQfDWjTXD3J14C5/s1600/IMG_2612.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="400" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhdfkW7YK6qHmJxH3S1bG89azJ2eZMQ7Trm4OWVG45j6tb4sQUYIERV3IXgmZmZY8DPTZnwgF4o6Pzwcx1G1WpE2u5eBDoZDWAUQciK3oP0Qc1ULoS1kUzOzjCH3ZvesnQfDWjTXD3J14C5/s1600/IMG_2612.JPG" width="300" /> </a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
And here is Brenda as Anne of Green Gables at our Church's Halloween party with her Grandpa.<br />
I made her costume, and the the hat with braids Grandpa got for her last year when he went to Prince Edward Island. Super cool, don't you think? She loved being Anne. We have the DVD series, and soon we are going to read the books.<br />
Hopefully I will get better soon and life can be back to normal.<br />
Anyways, just a little post to register the stuff I made recently.<br />
<br />
Have a good week!<br />

<br />
Hope everybody is having a good week.<br />
This is a very short post.<br />
I just want to share a couple of Halloween aprons I made other day.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgJpsIH0aWF8H7W339wZorTbqyUZpC2HAyAAumxXK1zlinwhYLa0f6j1UjAUuLuNf_WrpcqdpDOvlE9bP7jzQeRtpH1TQVDuzcTfPAmR6z7M58seSBUq8PjKwkOzYoQMY31IfFNyNYQWvuC/s1600/IMG_2483.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgJpsIH0aWF8H7W339wZorTbqyUZpC2HAyAAumxXK1zlinwhYLa0f6j1UjAUuLuNf_WrpcqdpDOvlE9bP7jzQeRtpH1TQVDuzcTfPAmR6z7M58seSBUq8PjKwkOzYoQMY31IfFNyNYQWvuC/s1600/IMG_2483.JPG" height="400" width="300" /></a></div>
<br />
First I made this one. A little witches apron. Very cute with details in black polka dot.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEi8yy6uhFCh2jlu7FfriOih1dO7kMz7dvPaM8qBxZ0CVkC5jjB1XGWYGXCB_3QiiH0i171S7nWpDu8ABFSY9V9XTaPRf5Jzc_Jcnss2sDZ9NQd2BDlF_FOHKGD4_seLacELfA5q07rJ_Tqj/s1600/IMG_2473.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEi8yy6uhFCh2jlu7FfriOih1dO7kMz7dvPaM8qBxZ0CVkC5jjB1XGWYGXCB_3QiiH0i171S7nWpDu8ABFSY9V9XTaPRf5Jzc_Jcnss2sDZ9NQd2BDlF_FOHKGD4_seLacELfA5q07rJ_Tqj/s1600/IMG_2473.JPG" height="400" width="300" /> </a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
This is the other apron. I used a vintage style kids Halloween print and a different black polka dot fabric. I just love the way both aprons turned out!<br />
I am trying to post more often now, since I am making an effort to work on my projects, and stop procrastinating! :) Let's see what I will come up with next...<br />
<br />
Thanks for stopping by !<br />

<br />
Hope all are having a nice fall. Here still very hot, but it's getting better. Days ago I finished a new little project.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEj1dNn8lCYoS8Q3Ehfzyy8lW94Du_6BpfRiUVUhIsc3PV9bSFrduJPs_6CJz6U3mhEcjxzYCyW3JXUu0y-q7SGp9Nk9DRbx_ydxsQffsQ54Rljqg3SYAQpMQJVmrGGMyme2uJQNmlMOfqCM/s1600/IMG_2421.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEj1dNn8lCYoS8Q3Ehfzyy8lW94Du_6BpfRiUVUhIsc3PV9bSFrduJPs_6CJz6U3mhEcjxzYCyW3JXUu0y-q7SGp9Nk9DRbx_ydxsQffsQ54Rljqg3SYAQpMQJVmrGGMyme2uJQNmlMOfqCM/s1600/IMG_2421.JPG" height="300" width="400" /> </a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
After I made my <a href="http://passionfruitprincess.blogspot.com/search?q=Button+monogram">button monogram</a>, I liked it so much that I started planning a new button picture. Took me a while to collect all the buttons, and figure the whole thing out. I got most of the buttons at Joann's. The frame is an old one from the thrifty store that I spray painted white.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEh_5xmgGDdcfda0CtszekFkD38Ot32hXc3cnli0SfAeaXSWx-O0Rcof1mepwK4yxzvqAjDJrUtWw-2XmYD1jws1E9VQ-hcW0WSVi6Y3wxScG3I4oM6GCrA2DJmlrIofSRMNvgj_uejvFA-g/s1600/IMG_2388.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEh_5xmgGDdcfda0CtszekFkD38Ot32hXc3cnli0SfAeaXSWx-O0Rcof1mepwK4yxzvqAjDJrUtWw-2XmYD1jws1E9VQ-hcW0WSVi6Y3wxScG3I4oM6GCrA2DJmlrIofSRMNvgj_uejvFA-g/s1600/IMG_2388.JPG" height="300" width="400" /></a></div>
<br />
I planned the buttons placement for a while and started sewing them on. It was a fun and fast project, I finished it in a weekend.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiZdhg4MAcc9nZP6o46qefxVuwn3D81tv7mE-FjXcG-5JsZOQbx9ntQoLje5hV9jZzLZjqGDFn4MQQM9W9uZOQaw_fUkjVF8ssnL6Q0wk_uzZ6QOiTP5cpNUf5_7Dq0_u-GfxNZPG7jeW1h/s1600/IMG_2426.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiZdhg4MAcc9nZP6o46qefxVuwn3D81tv7mE-FjXcG-5JsZOQbx9ntQoLje5hV9jZzLZjqGDFn4MQQM9W9uZOQaw_fUkjVF8ssnL6Q0wk_uzZ6QOiTP5cpNUf5_7Dq0_u-GfxNZPG7jeW1h/s1600/IMG_2426.JPG" height="400" width="300" /></a></div>
<br />
Now it hangs over my bed. I love how it came out, with all those mother of pearl buttons . I am planing more button projects, probably a pumpkin of something like that.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEj-563wxb9Dzb6VLkit4atlUEPG2bjBZzpMYd1k1Bwt8QhoFPJVmYbUfqiwXR5MbTfCOkDjA2rsYKpMhUJ6TkAXyv9ONHItRyrMhymz9BhAP_gzVAPF6Be_skaITZ5ql-ry4nvnv1L3mkbM/s1600/IMG_2417.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEj-563wxb9Dzb6VLkit4atlUEPG2bjBZzpMYd1k1Bwt8QhoFPJVmYbUfqiwXR5MbTfCOkDjA2rsYKpMhUJ6TkAXyv9ONHItRyrMhymz9BhAP_gzVAPF6Be_skaITZ5ql-ry4nvnv1L3mkbM/s1600/IMG_2417.JPG" height="300" width="400" /></a></div>

<br />
I finished a little cross stitch for Halloween.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgchjSh_GTXMo_59E0GXI0_46fRXXlP8WL3Cj2TpVVmEBW-SirUE3cSgBATOs8HoGb5X4GC-c4tbmjVwhJ_wgzShx05aLwd84XfU5TPwiv2CStShzELCn3ZtSlThi4X3YzZkHw17JDOGLZq/s1600/IMG_2313.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgchjSh_GTXMo_59E0GXI0_46fRXXlP8WL3Cj2TpVVmEBW-SirUE3cSgBATOs8HoGb5X4GC-c4tbmjVwhJ_wgzShx05aLwd84XfU5TPwiv2CStShzELCn3ZtSlThi4X3YzZkHw17JDOGLZq/s1600/IMG_2313.JPG" height="400" width="300" /></a></div>
This is "Black Cat Alphabet" by JBW designs from the 2012 Just Cross Stitch Halloween issue.<br />
I finished it as a cube, and decided not to put a bow on the top so it can fit in one of the cubbies of my shelf.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgCACZvxErH8fQ7WdVveCxg022zHzFq9Qu8O7HZLaGN0-WTc_pcdmMgCSZrd19uUCIITHrzTum7d-LYKKU2agqV-JGyZcUBfBidLC9RnFqiBkNmXhKyXW3bfm05jQLAMoKj1PpqpAS8BABM/s1600/IMG_2341.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgCACZvxErH8fQ7WdVveCxg022zHzFq9Qu8O7HZLaGN0-WTc_pcdmMgCSZrd19uUCIITHrzTum7d-LYKKU2agqV-JGyZcUBfBidLC9RnFqiBkNmXhKyXW3bfm05jQLAMoKj1PpqpAS8BABM/s1600/IMG_2341.JPG" height="400" width="300" /></a></div>
<br />
<br />
Brenda also made some Halloween crafts...these little spool guys are from " Make it Yourself" Fall/Winter 2013. But the new 2014 "Holiday Crafts" also has them.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhd8MlMggEpK2x4B9NVapqaqQivRHl40kizNEqCEDinzlZSEueq0xrZao6UI4zwp2NT8j-I-SqaXbpq6Lf4DpCkXv3Oh_orPf42Nt9rLzgSxUbC2U8nn4A_D60SUK1EH-ssuD25Jk8DQSSj/s1600/IMG_2382.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhd8MlMggEpK2x4B9NVapqaqQivRHl40kizNEqCEDinzlZSEueq0xrZao6UI4zwp2NT8j-I-SqaXbpq6Lf4DpCkXv3Oh_orPf42Nt9rLzgSxUbC2U8nn4A_D60SUK1EH-ssuD25Jk8DQSSj/s1600/IMG_2382.JPG" height="400" width="300" /></a></div>
<br />
I am trying hard to use the craft supplies and fabrics that I have at home. Just too much stuff! I had some fleece (that is so bulky to store) and some Christmas fabrics.<br />

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
So, I made three blankets lined with fleece.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEg3Cj5iDFGRO5QW1GolAdiWwZAlFqST5nRSj3uWPHmlFiKDhTUGJtv78Bz9fsWCS3J8V-oMIx2ebIw3XEUkwv8yMg3C9jyUXniRYAXF9zoQ148OGDERc6E410WaAf5ifZGU-AkTZGq1Rr-i/s1600/IMG_2408.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEg3Cj5iDFGRO5QW1GolAdiWwZAlFqST5nRSj3uWPHmlFiKDhTUGJtv78Bz9fsWCS3J8V-oMIx2ebIw3XEUkwv8yMg3C9jyUXniRYAXF9zoQ148OGDERc6E410WaAf5ifZGU-AkTZGq1Rr-i/s1600/IMG_2408.JPG" height="300" width="400" /></a></div>
<br />
For these two I used fabrics from the line "In from the Cold" by Moda Fabrics. The polka dot fabric for the borders is from Joann's.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEj0ZZ5EcmQn79Yg4xxVlfZ8v08Z6sSZLRdlg4tjULzIIbVaqtxZZuI_8sHqRdvNoBui3cniT46JnvXKZmra5IuZOiBSXaHdFyfZd8oOexeuilftv4E2Q7d6ZYcifRTtTWO3qPF3KaJhpQ7l/s1600/IMG_2402.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEj0ZZ5EcmQn79Yg4xxVlfZ8v08Z6sSZLRdlg4tjULzIIbVaqtxZZuI_8sHqRdvNoBui3cniT46JnvXKZmra5IuZOiBSXaHdFyfZd8oOexeuilftv4E2Q7d6ZYcifRTtTWO3qPF3KaJhpQ7l/s1600/IMG_2402.JPG" height="300" width="400" /></a></div>
<br />
<br />
This one I made using a very old fabric from Daisy Kingdom. I have this fabric for ages and did not know what to do with it. I normally will not tie quilts or blankets, but because it came out a little puffy, I did the old tying thing.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
I am glad I made something useful with some of my "stuff". Now, let's see if we can use them this winter...it's so hot now, that does not feel like Fall at all, here in Southern California.<br />
<br />
Thanks for stopping by, and have a great week!<br />

<br />
I got the stitching bug and just finished a little Halloween piece.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjGfGmubGMCSPQjjBkdYdHDlTg4UhyphenhyphenehoHL5YT5MX3ocgmM1RZT0pOzLy_lhFRfDG0r2vAZ5bkJUY9hOEosgmkv3z7RdjDeWV1kNxey4kaA9TqN95T9u78Bv_PTfbI10gbWc67-yJmmYFYp/s1600/IMG_2293.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="300" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjGfGmubGMCSPQjjBkdYdHDlTg4UhyphenhyphenehoHL5YT5MX3ocgmM1RZT0pOzLy_lhFRfDG0r2vAZ5bkJUY9hOEosgmkv3z7RdjDeWV1kNxey4kaA9TqN95T9u78Bv_PTfbI10gbWc67-yJmmYFYp/s1600/IMG_2293.JPG" width="400" /></a></div>
<br />
All started with an empty container of orange hot chocolate that I saved from last year.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiHioWczCzbvrz830UC5vyPFr4BXUcJHtQduUJTEvDQuRX4iCuTxiY992TJ_MF5KSHm5F24V_EkEY_oN8i0T24SiAEi0OoSNsRV3qvIo1Z6dGs-YxziYX_AUpTB_DsPpVkxbIlduM4a1uwq/s1600/IMG_2281.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="300" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiHioWczCzbvrz830UC5vyPFr4BXUcJHtQduUJTEvDQuRX4iCuTxiY992TJ_MF5KSHm5F24V_EkEY_oN8i0T24SiAEi0OoSNsRV3qvIo1Z6dGs-YxziYX_AUpTB_DsPpVkxbIlduM4a1uwq/s1600/IMG_2281.JPG" width="400" /></a></div>
<br />
So cute, but needed something more...<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEijaLAR6YkpvleQM3Kw6vsnD-k5DP52uK7yeNp2K1kj4jK-W1gxWpHZ4SaJwj999Bd5SGPqXpsjo-_LAZLr2I0T5kM6xJcq-RrNtJc7029ijZcLMmdp9dAIZSiXoewV_PAvrqj9ISmjT4Ff/s1600/IMG_2287.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="300" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEijaLAR6YkpvleQM3Kw6vsnD-k5DP52uK7yeNp2K1kj4jK-W1gxWpHZ4SaJwj999Bd5SGPqXpsjo-_LAZLr2I0T5kM6xJcq-RrNtJc7029ijZcLMmdp9dAIZSiXoewV_PAvrqj9ISmjT4Ff/s1600/IMG_2287.JPG" width="400" /> </a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
I stitched "Jinx" from Just Nan "Moon Riders" on 28 count evenweave using DMC.<br />
I made it like a padded ornament, and glued it on the lid of the caldron, trimming with a twisted cord.<br />
I love Just Nan designs, especially the Halloween ones, but believe me, this is my first Just Nan finish ever!<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhBduIzqArxKS4IJ8PnmWHUSu2FIxM3qDM7x_fPVp7fJjVqEqQ9_XjLoD5fYDI6VgreXBAD3RVlObsh7fnNX-s0QoUHKuOAVAGUTVbTkJuqKyrAKjvN9kAqNosIE-Q3d6c4ara3yQMBrV2D/s1600/IMG_2294.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="300" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhBduIzqArxKS4IJ8PnmWHUSu2FIxM3qDM7x_fPVp7fJjVqEqQ9_XjLoD5fYDI6VgreXBAD3RVlObsh7fnNX-s0QoUHKuOAVAGUTVbTkJuqKyrAKjvN9kAqNosIE-Q3d6c4ara3yQMBrV2D/s1600/IMG_2294.JPG" width="400" /></a></div>
<br />
I also glued a Halloween ribbon around the rim of the cauldron to cover the words "orange hot chocolate". To add a little charm, I made a bow for the side of the handle, using tulle and ribbon.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
It was a fast, fun stitch! Now, I need to find more things to recycle.<br />
<br />

I wish you a great weekend, and happy stitching!<br />
