Hello!
I have lots of sewing and other things to do, but lately I got the cross stitch bug.
Three finishes is a LOT for me. So, here they are!
Three spring finishes! I love these designs. I wanted to stitch something that could be on display all Spring long, not only during Easter. So, these are the ones I picked.
This cute gardening girl is a design by Perrette Samouiloff. You can find many of her designs here.
You buy the patterns to print from your computer. Very nice and quite affordable.
These two ornaments are from JBW designs. I love her patterns! They are easy but so beautiful.
The French Country Lamb and French Country Rabbit were on my list for a while. I finally stitched them.
I had a hard time deciding how to finish the JBW designs ornaments. I left very little fabric around the rabbit, but I was able to finish it as a flat, like the lamb. It was my first time finishing with cord.
The little girl was easy. I wanted to finish her as a pillow with that fabric since the beginning.
I used 14 count aida for all three, because I have a lot of it, and also because my eyes are getting old :)
For now I am displaying them like this. I will probably change things around next week when I start decorating for Easter.
Thank you for stoping by, and have a great week!
Ana Paula.

A Black Cat and Some Christmas Blankets.
Hello!
I finished a little cross stitch for Halloween.
This is "Black Cat Alphabet" by JBW designs from the 2012 Just Cross Stitch Halloween issue.
I finished it as a cube, and decided not to put a bow on the top so it can fit in one of the cubbies of my shelf.
Brenda also made some Halloween crafts...these little spool guys are from " Make it Yourself" Fall/Winter 2013. But the new 2014 "Holiday Crafts" also has them.
I am trying hard to use the craft supplies and fabrics that I have at home. Just too much stuff! I had some fleece (that is so bulky to store) and some Christmas fabrics.
So, I made three blankets lined with fleece.
For these two I used fabrics from the line "In from the Cold" by Moda Fabrics. The polka dot fabric for the borders is from Joann's.
This one I made using a very old fabric from Daisy Kingdom. I have this fabric for ages and did not know what to do with it. I normally will not tie quilts or blankets, but because it came out a little puffy, I did the old tying thing.
I am glad I made something useful with some of my "stuff". Now, let's see if we can use them this winter...it's so hot now, that does not feel like Fall at all, here in Southern California.
Thanks for stopping by, and have a great week!

Two new finishes
Hello!
I have two JBW designs finishes to share.
The first one is Christmas Purse.
I wanted to finish it a little different. This is what I came up with.
I made a pillow using a gold dusted cotton. With a dark red and gold fabric and the stitched piece, I made a "belt" tied with bows on both sides of the pillow.
I love the design and I think the finish looks very festive.
The second finish is A Very Merry Christmas.
I finished it as a double flanged mini pillow. I saw some pictures of this kind of pillow finish online but could not find any tutorial. After a while I came up with my version. I am very happy with how it turned out.
I used two shades of green Christmas fabrics, and some gold buttons.
Maybe I will write a tutorial for this finish one of these days. :)
Thanks for stopping by.

One more Cross Stitch Finish
Hi!
This is French Country Pumpkin from JBW designs. I really enjoyed stitching it.
I wanted to make some new fall stitching this year and this is my first one. I am working on other projects but I don't think I will finish on time, since I have to start on Christmas stitching very soon.
